So, how's Le Cellier?

This used to be one of our 'must dos' for dinner, but we havent' been to WDW in 2 years...is it still one of the best restaurants in Epcot?

YUM!!!! We ate there for the first time in December and it was our favorite meal of the whole trip!!! The kids included. We had the Mushroom risoto filet and it was delish!!! And the choc. mouse was to die for!!! We'll go again, for sure!!:thumbsup2

:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 My first time there was two weeks ago. I will definently go back. It was superb! My entire family had filet mignon, and we loved it. Try the homemade maple ice cream there for dessert, very yummy. I must say that we were all spoiled after eating there. A few nights later we had reservations at Coral Reef and I got strip steak, I know you can't compare strip with filet, it was good, but not like the filet. I will go there again in a heartbeat. My brother said to make ressies there every night on our next trip, thats how well we enjoyed it.

We are trying it for the first time this trip.I got May 16 ressies for dinner at 5:40 and I even asked for it last out of all the rest I had to make lol...and the CM goes you would have to ask for that lol and then he goes on to say about 6 different times that evening for dinner.Keep calling dont give up...

We love it and it is a must do every trip! Always great food and service!

we ate there for our first time and liked it. I LOVED the duck appetizer and we both had the steak, which needed more sauce and the potatoes were very minimal. Dessert was good we had maple ice cream with some kind of granola.

we cancelled it on our last trip to eat at Tutto again, but we're going again on our March trip so i can't wait to get those cream cheesed mashed potatoes, or should i have the filet... decisions decisions...

We had dinner there just last week and we still enjoy Le Cellier. It's been a staple of our Disney trips the last several trips. So I'm guessing if you've enjoyed Le Cellier in the past, you'll probably still enjoy it. Our group had the mushroom filet, the NY strip and the steak with the coffee rub (I forget the name) and everyone enjoyed their choices!

11 years ago we ate at LeCellier and noticed the place was packed with very rich "suits" with wives. The Disney Corp had Board & Executive meetings the week we were there. At that time LeCellier was one of the absolute best restaurants at WDW (no Artist Point, or Jiko back then) and most moderately priced (compared with V&A and Calif Grill). It is a shadow of it's former self now. I blame it on the Disney Dining Plan and Sept Free Dining.

However, it is still the absolute best 1 TS restaurant. We've had some bad days there, but in general it is normally very good.

I would prefer they make it a 2 TS restaurant and bring the quality up some....... but as long as the ADR's are booked full, they have no reason to do that. So we will continue to eat our best meals at Artist Point & The Brown Derby.

We just got back on Sunday and Le Cellier was by far our best meal. The filet mignon was divine, the soup delish and the pretzel bread yummo. We even had the dessert - maple creme brulee. We loved every bite!

Le Cellier was one of my favourites last time we were at Disney. Though I do feel a little biased being a canadian myself. The Moosehead beer is definately what helps make the cheese soup.

We ate at the Le Cellier on 1/31 and found the food to be excellent and the server excellent. However we were still very disappointed. How is that.

We made our ADR's months ahead(like all of you). When we were taken to our seats we were escorted to a table right smack in the middle of the walkway lin front of the entrance to the bathrooms. In addition to that on one side of the table was the silverware station for the servers(very, very, noisy), and on the other side of the table was the credit card station.

When we were seated I asked the greeter if we could have a different table. She said probably not but she'll ask the manager. The manager came over and told me that was the only table available. I told her politely we would be willing to wait until the next table opened and that we really didn't want to sit in the middle of an aisle leading to the restroom and the stations next to us. Her exact words were "this is the only table you will be seated in or you can leave and go somewhere else".

So while the food was excellent it put a serious damper on our experience there with people constantly walking past us to the restroom and every server in the restaurant having to congregate next to us to swipe a credit card or room key. :confused3

The first time we ate there it was fantastic!!!! Even my father who hates and I mean really hates eating out (strange I know) He loved and said he would go there again. He is still talking about it and it has been over a year, Now that being said I went back to WDW this past May and the first ressie I had was Le Cellier. It was awful. It was really bad. Not slightly off, flat out horrible. The people at the table next to us were even complaining about how bad it was and asking "what the heck happend to this place". I was very dissapointed and I have not been back on my last 2 trips. Not saying I would never go back I may try it on our Dec. trip to give it another chance but I am still up in the about it.

We had a similar experience. Le Cellier was the best meal of our trip in Dec 07 - we all raved about it, so it was a must-do for our Dec 08 trip. It was really bad. Bad enough that we will not be back. The service was awful - it seemed like they had an entire crew of all new servers or something. Literally half of the tables were empty and all of the servers seemed overwhelmed, and there were tons of people waiting to be seated - we were not sure what that was about. Our server was, frankly, a clueless jerk. The food was terrible. 2 had the mushroom filet with cream cheese mashed potatoes - both thought the meat was acceptable but the potatoes were the highlight of their meals! I had the prime rib and the entire plate was disgusting - the meat tasted horrible and the roasted potato side was virtually raw. The cheddar cheese soup could be the grossest thing that I have ever tried. It was like a salt lick and had the consistency of paste. I am not sure what happened - but we were all very disappointed. The best meal of that trip was at Grand Floridian Cafe.

Has anyone had the chicken at Le Cellier?

I know everyone I am going with wants to go here in June. Many of the reviews mention the steak is awesome. I am the only one that does not like steak. It sounds like they have great pretzel bread, so I am sure I will be fine.
