Wow, neat to see how many people hae been together a long time and are still happily married, especially the ones who have been together since they were young.
OK, so us.
Me- SAHM for almost 16 years. Just took a temporary P/T job in September for one school year as a pre school aid 2 afternoons a week. My last day is tomorrow and I am going to miss them so much. Such cuties! I miss that age. I liked putting the extra money away for our trip and hope that they may need me again in the Fall.
DH- IT Director for a restaurant franchise with about 75 restaurants, so he works a lot! He likes Disney, but LOVES me so he makes the 20+ hour drive every other year. He really wants to do the
Disney cruise but it always winds up being so much cheaper to go to the parks. Someday though...
We met when I was 15, we were pen pals during the Gulf War (he was in the Army.) We got engaged when I was 16, married when I was 17, got pregnant when I was 18 and had our DD when I was 19. We will be married 17 years next month and are just as in love as ever! He truly is the greatest man I have ever known.
DD15-50% a wonderful daughter and 50%
. Not sure how we are going to survive the teenage years 2 more time over.
She likes Disney World, but not so much the characters. She LOVES EPCOT, especially Japan and her favorite thing to do is eat the most unusual things she can from each country and ride the thrill rides. She likes to take it easy in the parks and likes to go off by herself.
DD11- Totally my girl when it comes to Disney. She loves it all and wants to do it all and does pretty good. She can get cranky though when she is sleepy but she will warn you. ("Mom, I am getting tired, I don't want to be a grump so I need a break.") It only happened once last trip but she didn't want to go back to the room so I held her for an hour while she napped in the shade and she was ready to go again all night long.
DD8-Antother mommy's girl when it comes to Disney. She too loves all things Disney! On our last trip she went to Rope Drop with me every day and stayed for PM-EMH every day too. She was 7 on our last trip and survived on 5 hours a night and wasn't cranky a bit (because she knew daddy would take her back to the room for a nap and she didn't want to waste any time in the parks napping.) She is 100% gung-ho right along with me! If she needs a little energy, that is what sugar is for. Give her hers in the form of Kaki Gori or Dole Whip Floats!
