So, how many school districts cancelled classes today?

I think that virtually every district in CT was closed today. According to NBC30, there were '628 school cancellations' today. That includes regional districts, towns, and private schools. I do think they said some of the districts in far NorthWestern CT did open today, but not very many.

Honestly, it's 4:00 now, and there still is less than 2" of snow here in my town. They could have had school today, possibly with an early dismissal without a problem. Instead they'll be in school around June 25th when its 90 degrees out and no air conditioning.

I received a call this morning and my children's school will be closed until Tuesday.

The schools have been closed all week.

Fairfax County Virginia schools are closed the rest of the week, no school Thursday & Friday.

I'm a few miles north of Boston. My kids had a regular day of school but it happened to be a regularly scheduled early release at 12:30. I'm glad since there was no need to cancel or get out earlier.

We are in Northwest NJ and we had no school today and already got the call for no school tomorrow. We have over a foot of snow already and it's going to snow heavily until 2AM!
Then the kids have a half day friday and no school Monday for President's day.

Loudoun County Virginia is closed until next Tuesday! I'm loving it since I am a teacher and have been fighting a nasty cold. I could use the rest!

Fauquier County closed through Friday. The county site says if the roads are decent for the busses to run there will be school on Monday instead of taking the holiday. So far this month my daughter has only had a part day of school. Last Monday thru Wednesday and Friday were snow days. They went on Thursday with a delayed start. The county has used up all five built in snow days. It should be interesting to see how the make up the overages.

Monroe Twp., NJ schools were closed today and will be closed tomorrow.

It's really unprecedented, but many schools are already canceling in our area for tomorrow. Our district hasn't canceled for tomorrow yet, but seeing others in this vicinity having already done so, I'd imagine it's only a matter of time till ours is announced.

Today was our first snow day of the entire year so far. It looks like tomorrow will be the 2nd. These days will be made up next week.

So. Md. has closed schools for the week, then Monday is Pres. Day so they're closed too . I'm getting the urge to plan our next cruise!
