I have about 6 different Mickey watches. I have two favorites. One is the be our guest watch that was a gift and one is a Silver one with a small Mickey Head at 12 oclock...

I have between 75-100 Disney watches. Most of mine are LE watches, and many with sculptures. I have as many as possible displayed in a curio cabinet. I have about 20 or so that I alternate wearing--with quite a few different characters (a few different Tinkerbells, many Mickeys, Ariel, Beauty, the Fab 5, CM only, etc.) I have so many watches that my coworkers come over to see what watch I'm wearing on any particular day. It is fun! My collecting of Disneyana basically started with Watches (well, outside of my park memorabilia)

Anyone else nuts about watches?

I am crazy about watches! (raising hand) I love watches and I'm partial to Mickey ones. My everyday watch is the Mickey Mouse Club watch. It needs a new watchband but I'm finding out the hard way you can't get Disney watchbands. :( I've got approx 12 Mickey watches in varying face sizes...some play music but most don't.

My daughter and I did most of the watch collections through the Disney Store - and lots of those came with pins - so that is kind of cool. WE probably have about 75 watches.

I wear one and that is my Mickey Mouse Seiko that is probably 12 years old - I love it.

My next goal is to have a Mickey Mouse Rolex.

I really like Mickey watches, have a number of Walt watches and anything ride related.

I only have 2 watches.....one is a springtime Pooh, the other came in a Pooh Hunny Pot......think I like the hunny pot the best!

The Ray has quite a few, has one he wears everyday that had a leather band but the clasping part had the word Disney on it. He was heartbroken to replace that band when it broke but his Mom found a jeweler who put the metal pieces from the old band onto the new one! So now it looks just like the original!!!! He collects mostly Walt and MIckey watches!

I have about 25, but unlike my other collections, I actually use the items in this one on a daily basis. It was lots of fun this past Sunday resetting all of my watches!:D

Of my 40 watches, about half are Disney. Some are LE with sculptures, or from special events. Most are Mickey, 'cause I love him best!

Well...I have a Mickey Mouse watch that my grandmother gave me when I was about 8 years old...about 30 years ago! I've always wondered if it would be worth anything, and I'm too afraid to wear it!

I have about 30 different watches by several different licenscees that have Lion King characters on them.

I collect Disney LE watches. I think I have about 125 now. Most have some type of sculpture with them. I display as many as I can in a curio cabinet and try to rotate the display sometimes.

My favorites are the LE Attraction series with the sculptures. I have that entire set as well as the entire Villains set. I also have the Disneyana Villains Convention LE.

I usually only buy the watches that I really like. I don't purchase solely because they are LE. Lately, I haven't seen any that I really want.

Lynnie,

I like your comment about changing clasp parts so the word *Disney* is still on the watchband. I'm going to see if I can find someone here to do the same thing for me. :) Great idea!!!

I love Mickey watches, though I currently only have one Disney watch - Pooh Hugs & Kisses. My first watch was a Mickey Mouse that when it stopped working I disassembled and when I put back together it worked again (I was 6)! Amazingly enough, my folks kept finding pieces of it in the carpet afterward too. :)

Right now I only have 3 , but I am trying to build my collection. the oldest one is from the 60's and is the classic Mickey with a black strap. I have the box and the directions still. This one is my favorite because it says "all electric " on the face-it was one of the first battery powered watches. I also have a very small one with a crystal set of Mickey ears hanging from the bezel, and for everyday I have an oversized Mickey with a brown strap.

I collect Mickey watches but I do have one non Mickey watch that is one of my favorites. It is a watch that Kodak film sent you if you sent in a UPC from Kodak film and something like $2.00, it was a watch to celebrate WDW 25th anniversary and it has Cinderella's castle on the face.

Something I still look for. Have about 34 Disney watches out of 65 total. Right now I am replacing batteries in 4 of 12 that make up a hatband I wear at WDW. Just like my pins over half are Pirates of the Caribbean, Roger/Jessica and Captain Hook. Each trip I go through every shop that sells watches looking for a new addition.
If you are at WDW in early May and see some guy with a hatband made of watches say hello it is probably me.

Well, I started collecting just Haunted Mansion items, and after several years have all the watches, both limited edition, general release, and cast only watches. I actually wear one, but I bought it in triplicate so I could do it in good conscience. (Must have a pristine one in the display cabinet.)
I also have a load of Pirates of the Caribbean watches, the nicest of which comes in a small chest and has a second had that has a pirate chasing a wench that rotates around.
I have various other watches that are directly related to attractions and rides. The nicest watch, hands down, for both the face of the watch itself AND the packaging is a cast-only Indiana Jones watch when the Indiana Jones Adventure opened in Disneyland. It comes in a wooden box that has the name of the ride woodburned on the front and a portrait of Mara on top. The watch as a beautifully detailed and colored portrait of Mara on the face. My wife liked it so much that I bought a second one on eBay and she wears it! Now that means it's a damn nice watch.

But I don't really consider them a collection since I do wear most of them. In a way it was an "accidental collection" most of them are prizes from TDS contest and as such I can't sell them or give them away. I do have a evil queen watch from WDW that I paid real money for. It goes with DH Chernobog watch.

Speaking of Evil Queen watches...I have a cool one. It is hollographic (sp?) and it came in the tender box that is in EyeRN's sig picture. I think it is really neat. Most all of my watches are displayed in my curio cabinet, but there are so many that I would LOVE to wear! I made a decision a long time ago that if I like the watch enough--to heck with the collectible value of it--take it out and wear it. I did just that with an awesome Little Mermaid watch LE 3000. It's a tough call sometimes.

Just like Barbies. I was keeping all of them in NRFB condition. In the box, I just couldn't enjoy some of them. So I began "freeing" some of them. I took out my Bob Mackie barbies and displayed them. It felt so awesome! I now enjoy those on a daily basis in my curio.

Wow... there are a lot of watch collectors. I would have to say that I too wear mine and collecting them was also accidental. But I have seen a few that I would just like to own in the watch room in DTD...
