So hot today!!!

We arrived by car today at Disneyland. We arrived later than we intended, thanks to the lovely LA traffic As we came down out of the mountains, the temp reader on our minivan reached 115 degrees!! Oh, man!! And to top it off, we had to keep turning off the air and rolling down the windows, in an effort to prevent our car from overheating. Ever see that show, Malcolm In The Middle? I totally felt like that family. LOL

So worth it, though. I can't wait to get to the parks tomorrow. It will be my youngest's first time. He loves Mickey Mouse.

anyway, here's hoping it will cool off some, soon!!

yeah Im feeling your pain here...Im leaving in the morning to go down there and my friend went yesterday and was dying the whole day...shes from vegas where its REALLY hot but she said the humidity was so bad it was making things unbearable and the pool was so packed at the hojo that you couldnt even move without running into someone... and today she is going to the beach and its in the 90's already in anaheim...I just know im going to die of heat...Im leaving by 5am so I can get over the grapevine and be in anaheim by 10am..

According to weather.com it should be a little cooler tomorrow and Monday and Tuesday and Wed should be nice.

We are going Mon-Wed and tent camping. We may be spending a lot of time in the pool

Good to hear you made it with Malcolm and the other kids safely, in spite of the intense heatwave we are having in SoCal the last couple days.

Monday it should cool off but Sunday will probably be like today from what I am hearing.

the only thing i hate about the parks when it is that hot, is it seems so hard to find ICE COLD beverages. so many people are buying up water and sodas from the vending carts, they don't stay on ice long enough to get super cold the way i like them!

I love my drinks ICE COLD (I live with family members who drink their drinks room temp...BLAH! YECK! ) Our rooms at the hotel has a refrigerator with a small freezer...I freeze my drinks (water, juice or what ever) just till almost solid and carry them in my thermal wine tote...it is the one made by BUILT NY made of neoprene...very light and keeps the drink ICE COLD...any thermal tote will work and your drink will stay Super Cold...
I will definitely be doing this for our August trip...

Anaheim's temps are usually pretty close to the temps where I live, so I can sympathize.

I had my son's birthday party today at my house (that we've only lived in a month) and the A/C stopped working!!!!

It was 106 today, and we had 11 people in our house. We were planning to have kiddie pools out back, but it was too hot for that until almost 6pm. Bah.

I cannot imagine standing in line in the sun today. The last 2 days have been absolutely unbearable.

I'm starting to get really nervous! I'm going to be in DL at the end of july. I've never been that time of year. Is it really that unbearable? I live in AZ so I understand how awful it is when it's hot but I don't normally hang around outside either. I've been in August and don't recall it being horrible. Is it just a bad summer?
