We just checked into our condo at Windsor Hills and when we opened the front door to our condo we all said "Wow", at the same time! We are so pleased with our decision to get a condo for this Disney trip. We booked through Florida Sun Vacation Homes and our three bedroom condo is huge! It is clean, nicely decorated, in good condition, and looks just like the photos online. We still can't believe all we got for the price we paid. The security guard at the entry gate to the resort was really nice and helpful and our building was very easy to find. We checked into our condo after spending a leisurely afternoon at the Magic Kingdom since we had a morning flight and we were so surprised how easy and quick of a drive it was to get to Windsor Hills from the Magic Kingdom which is supposed to be the furthest park from this community. DH said that the drive couldn't have been more than ten minutes, if that. I am definitely going to time our drive as we are going back to the Magic Kingdom tomorrow. We are heading back out now to make a grocery store run, but I just had to log on and share with my DIS friends how happy we are. We had our initial concerns about the idea of staying offsite and so far everything has been going smoothly from renting a van at the airport, to driving to the MK from the airport, to kicking off our vacation at the MK, and the surprisingly quick and easy drive to our beautiful and huge Windsor Hills condo!

Great to hear! :goodvibes

Have a wonderful vacation, and hopefully you will have some pics to post of your condo and the resort when you come home. Might have to put Windsor Hills on the short list for our next trip!

Yes, I took photos throughout the condo before we got settled in. I will definitely post pics when we get back after the trip.

Glad you are enjoying it! We are looking into a WH townhome for our next trip :) Cant wait to see your pics:thumbsup2

Thanks for the review! We also booked through Florida sun next month. Which condo are you staying in?

wonderful news! We are looking into staying at WH next year. Will look forward to your pictures!:)

We love, love, love WH!!:lovestruc

We are headed back next week for a long stay in a 5 bdrm house with its own pool. We loved staying in the townhouses with the splash pools at first but as the kids got bigger we switched to the larger house with the larger pool. We are staying in the exact same house as we did last year and the owner gave me an even better deal this year!:thumbsup2

Last year we stayed a week at WH then switched over to AKV SV for 3 nights, then the Poly for 2 nights and they were wonderful;l but I don't think my DH would go back every year if it wasn't for WH and all the space it affords us. I really enjoy it as well. Plus we grocery shop and that saves $. It is very close to all the parks!!

Have fun!! Looking forward to hearing all about it!!:goodvibes

We are enjoying our stay here. We spent some time in the main pool after dinner and I think it is a wonderful family pool - zero depth entry, spacious, water slide, fountain/splash pad area for little ones, etc. I will post some pictures of that area too when I get back home. I think we may also eventually rent a pool home when our kids get older. We are in a 3 bedroom/2 bath condo unit and it is more than enough space for the six of us as my kids are still young. I really like the vibe of Windsor Hills too. It seems quiet, family oriented, and the grounds and landscaping are well maintained. It is also such an easy drive to the Disney parks that I still feel like we're a part of "Disney" once we leave the WDW gates, lol! We ate dinner at 'Ohana last night and have upcoming ADRs at Chef Mickey's and Boma so we will still get to visit and spend some time at Disney resorts.

This makes me so happy!! We are renting a condo there and arrive in 8 days. So, did you time the drive to MK? And how about the other parks? Glad you are enjoying yourself!!

OK, a little off topic but I see you're visiting Legoland while you're there. We are going while we are there as well. I'd love to know how your day goes and how the drive is from WH. :)

I was so excited when I wrote that post that I failed to be more specific. It is about a ten minute drive to the MK parking lot from the Windsor Hills entrance and once you get to the MK parking lot you will want to add about another 15 minutes to catch a tram to the TTC and the monorail from there to the MK entrance (add a little more time if you choose the ferry over the monorail) :). It sounds like a hassle but it really isn't as much of a production as I thought it would be and is still great when considering on our onsite trip just the wait alone for a park bus was 15-20 minutes on average. We went to HS yesterday and it was about ten minutes to that park and it was an easy walk from the parking lot to the entrance. In a few minutes I am going to get everyone ready for our day at AK which is supposed to be the park closest to us. Saturday is our Epcot day.:goodvibes

We are going to Legoland in a couple days, I will definitely let you know how that drive is and how our day goes :thumbsup2

We love WH! We have rented a townhouse twice and are doing so again next year, I couldn't imagine staying anywhere else. Have a great trip!

I promised to post some pics of the condo, sorry I took so long but it has been a busy week as we basically jumped right back into our day to day grind the day after we returned. Hopefully photobucket cooperates today :)

Our family of six stayed in a third floor, 3 bedroom/2 bath condo. It was very quiet, we didn't really hear anyone around us which was nice; but that seemed to be the case for Windsor Hills overall, it had a very tranquil feel to it. There were a lot of vacationing families around, but even the public areas like the pool, playground, parking lot, etc. seemed to be on the quiet side. :thumbsup2

Here is the view as we pulled through the gated entrance

Looks like a very nice set-up, thanks for sharing the pictures. I'm glad you had such a nice trip. :goodvibes

The pool area - a zero depth entry lagoon style pool, a waterslide, and over by the waterslide is a little fountain/splash pad area. There is also a jacuzzi but I didn't get around to taking a picture of it.

I just had to take a picture of the beautiful magnolia trees that are all around the property because I won't get to see them again for awhile

We had a great stay at Windsor Hills and we wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. Florida Sun Vacation Homes was great to work with too. We got a great deal and a clean, spacious, and comfortable condo unit which was very nice to come back to after a long day in the parks. :thumbsup2

Thanks so much for sharing the pictures. We will be checking in to a different unit that we rented through Florida Sun three weeks from today.

We are heading there in 12 days!!! We are staying in a house, but cannot wait.
