That's the lowest I've seen in a while for our travel dates in August...of course that was one way, so now I need to watch SW everyday for dates to open up past 8/24 -- or I guess we'll have to stay @ WDW forever!!!

My flight was for Wednesday, 8/22 -- PDX to MCO. The flight stops in KC to load more passengers but we don't have to change plans. Coming from the westcoast, that's just about as good as it gets for us. Alaska Air is starting a nonstop from PDX, but it's a red-eye and I just can't handle those as I can't sleep on planes and I'm already dead tired by the time we reach WDW, which typically doesn't have rooms ready until early afternoon...so I walked around like a zombie for the first few days. Not good!

You say this like it's a BAD thing!

Good job on the flight! I'm hoping to pay no more than $100 each way for our flights. I know if you wait for a ding you can get a better deal, but I'm not going to risk it. I'm just going to snap up those seats the second they become available!

That was my strategy as well...buy them now and hope for a fare reduction later. My real challenge is going to be the return flight as we'll be traveling over labor day weekend. I'm hoping it won't be too horribly high as we're coming back on Sunday instead of Monday.
