So glad we had to cancel our trip this October

Well I never thought I would be saying this but in light of the recent concerns regarding Crown Currency Exchange, I am now so glad we cancelled this years October trip.

I was discussing with DH this morning that if we had been travelling next week we would have probably had around £5000.00 sat with them at the moment waiting to be converted into dollars and delivered.

Hands up, I was one of the many that praised CCE and couldnt fault them for service I had received over the past few years but companies do fail, more so now than ever at the moment and I just hope that some how or other the majority of people do manage to get refunds, I truely do.

The truth is people have exchanged their holiday money this way for many years now without any problems - which is why so many people on here and Money Saving Expert were happy to recommend them.
If you have read the threads highlighted by Wayne you will see that quite a few Dissers have had a pretty miserable weekend not knowing if their holiday money is safe, some of them faced with the prospect of having to cancel their trip and dissappoint their children.
Hopefully, come the start of a new week, more information will come out and those people will know where they stand and if their money is safe.
