I currently run with a Garmin Forerunner 210. I really love my watch, but I've run into a little bit of a problem since I'm a run/walker. When I run, I set my watch for intervals so that it will alert me each time I need to run and each time I need to walk. And I don't have a problem until it comes to the longer runs...since I only run for 2 minutes and walk for 1, as you can guess, that ends up being a ton of intervals...so the Garmin ends up stopping after 99. I had been told that buying a newer model (specifically the 610) would fix the problem. However, when I began researching that watch, I was told that none of the Garmin watches, no matter the model, go over 99 intervals. So now I'm really frustrated and confused. Has anyone else had this problem or am I doing something totally wrong? I just want to be able to run whatever distance my plan (or race) calls for and to be alerted when I need to run and when I need to walk without having to reset it. Is that possible?
