I used to have the best memory, in fact my DH often wished that I would forget things. When I got pregnant with my DD, she's 2 1/2 now, my memory really got bad. I was a Sheriff's deputy at the time, and if I didn't write down names and things that needed to be taken care of, I would totally forget. My DD now has a memory like you wouldn't believe, but mine is all gone. I think she sucked out my brain cells. Anyone else with this problem? Should I worry, I mean I am getting older, just turned 34, maybe that has something to do with it. My DH is much older and he can't remember to take out the garbage 10 minutes after I ask him to, or maybe he's just really faking.

My sister swears she pushed half her brains out with the 1st child and the rest with the 2nd because she is so scatter-brained. Of course, I ma not sure what was left by the time my nephew was born (her 3rd and last)

I feel the same way! I am 25. When I had DD I had just turned 24. Before she came along I could remember things with no problem. Then she came along and I have a hard time remembering stuff.

My theory is that I just remember things pertaining to DD and keeping her safe. Like pushing in the chairs before I walk away or she will be in them in 2 seconds! I had heard how physically exhausting it is having an infant/ toddler, but the mental exhaustion took me by surprise! :)

My memory was like yours. I could remember a lot. Now days, I can't.

Is this something else I can blame my kids for? :teeth:
