something we already knew....DHS, EPCOT, AK sure need to add some rides. Not attractions, full blown, get some butts in the seats (lines) rides. Whole lands even. Yes I know Avatarland is coming and I will hold judgement on that until later.

As I made my plans, and have now thought about some time changes, I know that we need to add some rides to the parks. I wonder how many rides a billion dollars could have built.

Now I will also reserve judgement on the whole FP+ issue until we are done our trip the second week of June.

The interesting part is that they opted to put their investment into MM+ when that sort of investment could have solved the ride problem in those parks. Only with MM+ in place, all it does is highlight those inadequacies.

Yep, and the tiers make this even more apparent.

I know it has been said a million times but scheduling at EPCOT was nice and tricky because of those evil tiers.

We are doing EPCOT in two days so I just booked Soarin of first day when we only do the front of the park. The second day we are going to do the Agent P game in the World Showcase so we booked a TT pass for the time when we get there.

You nasty tiers....lol.

FP+ aside, I have a very different view of the over-all premise that WDW parks need more rides. IMO, they do not. The only "ride" park is MK, and it has tons of rides.

Animal Kingdom has many awesome shows and several animal viewing trails to go along with KS, Dino, EE, PW and KRR.

DHS also has many awesome shows and experiences to go along with ST, TSMM, ToT, RnRc & GMR.

EPCOT was never about the rides, but they have Soarin', TT, MS, SE, UoE, LwtL & SoAT to go with the World Showcase.

I mean, if you can't fill your day in those parks right now because they don't have enough rides, maybe WDW isn't for you.

I agree with BuckeyeBama, there is a lot to do in EPCOT, DHS, & AK that are not rides.

But the FP+ tiering in EPCOT & DHS does make it difficult to do what rides there are in an efficient way. We're lucky in that we'll have a 1-year-old this trip, so we can use a Baby Swap pass to get around some of the tiering, but if we didn't have that I'd be at somewhat of a loss as to how to best do all the rides we want to do in our one day at each of those parks.

I appreciate the variety of non-ride experiences in each of the parks, but at least three of the parks truly need to add in more rides anyway. Some of the non-ride experiences are not as repeatable as rides. As others have said, FP+ seems to highlight this deficiency because guests are limited in the ability to repeat favorite rides without enduring standby lines.
