I just nabbed a Coral Reef dinner ADR for 7 pm the 1st week in July!

YEAH!

We were booked at San Angel ... I have to decide between the two ...

Is picking Coral Reef a mistake?

Thanks!

just looked and tutto italy is avail too ..

so which would you pick,

italy, san angel or coral reef?

we are on DDP

I've only eaten at Coral Reef so can't chime in on the other two.

We really liked Coral Reef. The Mahi Mahi and the key lime tarte were divine! We had a table right by the tank so it helped keep youngest DD entertained while waiting for our food. Service was a bit slow but we didn't mind. We used lunch as a long break.

ive read aboutit being slow at coral reef ... that makes nervous b/c of the lttle one (11 months), but he will be entertained im sure while we wait ...

italy sounds yummy too.

My Dh loves CR, its a must do atleast once, to me the menu is a bit limiting but the food was good but service is slow... San Angel I love for the ambiance but we had the worst service Ive ever had at WDW on our honeymoon here so DH refuses to go back (hostess actually got snotty after we waited almost 2 hrs past ADR time and DH asked about open table, she said it was a 4 person table and she would not seat a party of 2 at it!)
Havent tried Tutto..

I'd go with Italy because you might not end up with a seat with a good view of the aquariums which would lose the entertainment. That being said im doing both my next trip but we're too adults so we don't need the distraction the same as kids (though sometimes I'm more impatient than an 11 month old teehee)

Congratulations! I don't think Coral Reef is a bad choice. We loved this restaurant. We are trying San Angel on our next trip. Crossing our fingers because I've read some bad reviews on that restaurant. Ah well. We'll see.

My family has enjoyed Coral Reef for many of our trips. The lobster soup is usually very good. (Although, admittedly, there have been times we did not care for one particular recipe of the soup.) The kiddies love to watch the fish while eating. To them it's almost like eating in front of the TV.

We didn't care much for the food at the coral reef... the atmosphere was very nice, and the waiter was great... service wasn't necessarily slow in a bad way, more like slow paced/relaxed... i'd also pick italy over coral reef and san angel...

Tutto Italia, for sure! I haven't eaten there, but it's supposed to be fantastic (my mom and I are so excited to eat there for the first time during our August trip! :woohoo: ). However, we both LOVE San Angel Inn. It's so homey (in a comfy way) and the atmosphere is very relaxed- the Tortilla Soup is my favorite, and the Chicken Mole is supposed to be delish!
Out of all the reviews it gets, Coral Reef is not somewhere to eat. The view is supposed to be really cool- a friend of mine said they had a manatee swim by and visit a couple of times during the meal. I'm told that if you're a fish person, it's a decent (not great but filling and passable) meal- otherwise, it can be skipped.

We have only ever eaten at Coral Reef and both times that we were there we thought it was very good. However, for our September trip, we originally had Coral Reef booked but my DH decided that he would like to try out Tuto Italia instead, so we dropped Coral Reef and now we are eating in Italy :goodvibes. I have read nothing but good things about Tuto so we are really excited about eating here.
