Just had a call from our solicitor. Our house purchase completes on July 13th :cool1: We're now $426,657.25 in debt :lmao: ( at the current exchange rate;)) We can't wait to move in and start the next stage of our life together. We were supposed to get married last year, but had to postpone when I changed jobs twice in six months. Then this year we had to leave our rented house and decided to buy, so the wedding went out the window again  Hopefully we'll make it down the aisle next year :dance3:

:rotfl2: Love the words you guys use over there!

Congratulations! Do you have Home Depot over there? God knows home ownership = living at Home Depot for the first few months!

Take pics for us! :thumbsup2

pulse some yummy poofs! :thumbsup2

I sure hope you meant PLUS some yummy poofs; PULSE on the other hand, is my blender's lowest setting... on a side note, isn't it inneresting "poofs" didn't get turned into a series of asterisks? I think you've found the key to confounding the DIS naughty word algorithm -- Britspeak

she experiments...

knob

fanny (particularly amusing to folks in the UK when we talk about our fanny packs)

nope -- nary an asterisk in sight. :)

That's a GREAT video.

Appropos of absolutely nothing: I am currently eating the yummiest peach cobbler (OK -- just for grins I looked THAT up in an online British slang dictionary and here it means Pie.) EVER. DH brought home a box of free peaches yesterday. (they were starting to get a little old and the produce stand was going to throw them out). Anyway, we peeled'em, sweetened'em, dumped'em in a pan, poured in a dry yellow cake mix, dotted the top with butter, baked the mess for an hour. INCREDIBLE!!!! AND we have enough for another one in the freezer. Whos sez the recession can't be fun?

There's loads of alternate words between our nations. Wasn't it Ben Franklin who said we are separated by a common language?

Anyway, congrats again to our new home owners. I wonder where abouts on this sceptred isle they reside?
