My trip for Disney World is just around the corner and I cannot contain my excitement! I tell everyone I know the countdown for my trip, and I think some people are getting annoyed...but oh well!

Does anyone else get a little tearful when thinking about their trip? This is my first trip to Disney World, and I'm a Christmas fanatic (I love everything about Christmas...even the chaos!), so when I think about going to a place I wanted to go all my life, and going during Christmastime, I get a little teary eyed!

It just looks to beautiful and magical, and when you've lived a life clouded by disease and death, anything that's still light and innocent to you looks like the best thing in the world.

Anywho, what's one thing that I cannot miss in Disney World? I'm going to MVMCP on the 18th, we're staying at the Grand Floridian in a Magic Kingdom view room so I'll definitely see the huge, delicious looking gingerbread house.

Also, there's a christmas store in Disney World correct? I love ornaments and although the Disney Store (where I work) has a couple of ornaments, I'm looking for a huge array of them :)!

I know what you mean. This will be my first Christmas visit and I just cannot wait. Let them get annoyed. :woohoo: You're going to have a magical time. It just looks like a special time to be at a very special place. May be it's hidden envy. My friends are happy for me. I'm dying to see the gingerbread house at the GF. I collect gingerbread things...have to buy a little house there. Good thing I'm driving down! I'm staying with friends who say we have to devote a day just to visit the hotels and their gift shops.
You did mention MVMCP. We are also going to the Candlelight processional at EPCOT.
Have a magical time...:santa:

Oh, I'm so excited for you. You're going to have a fantastic time! Make sure you go see the Osborne Lights at MGM one evening!

The Christmas shop in Downtown Disney is wonderful. You will be awed by all the things they have in there. I get ornaments monogrammed every year. They also have some other holiday things too. I always spend alot of time ( and money) in the shop. You should be excited Disney at Christmas, how much better can it get?:)

We are sure you will have a magical stay! Along with everything all of the OPs have mentioned, DW said she likes a shop in MGM for the most unique Christmas ornaments. We always visit the Christmas shop in DD also, but she said it has the same ornaments that are found throughout the parks, but when you enter the MGM park and take a right like you are heading towards the TOT and RNRC the shop will be on your right about half way down the street. She really likes this one for a different selection, so you may want to visit there!:thumbsup2 Anyway enjoy your trip and be sure to slow down and take in the decorations everywhere, because they are definately worth seeing.:cool1:
