SO excited!! Trip booked.

Wasn't sure where to post this but I'm too excited and can't wait! JUST booked our trip to the World! My DW and I went 10years ago with my parents but this is our DS4's FIRST! Today it just all came together ...taxes came in...final desicion on package options made...and my chief called to confirm I have my vacation dates.

I've been "educating" DS4 all week on everything Disney. He always thought "Disney" was just the castle in the intro's to all his movies! He has sat in my lap every night looking at different sites, pictures and vids. He especially loved the "Pic of the Day" thread.

Anyhoo....we'll be in the World Apr 15-22 staying at the All Star Sports (not our first choice, but the price was right).

I don't think I'll be able to sit still until I see that look on his face when he first spots Cindy's Castle. He hasn't wrapped it around his head that WDW is a real place!

Later all...and the DIS Boards RAWK! I've gotten more info from here than I thought possible!

I also have a son who is 4. This year will be his 3rd trip!! He has wonderful memories already, but can't wait to see his reaction this year. My girls are 12 and 13 and are disney fanatics.

Hope you have a really wonderful trip! I took my DS for his first trip at 4 also. That's such a sweet age and you'll get as much out of it as he will. Be sure to take lots and lots of pictures! I have recently been looking at our photos from that trip. DS turns 14 in a couple of months and 14 is not nearly as sweet as 4!

Just be sure to enjoy every moment!

I agree, take as many pics as you can! I'm almost 22 and was looking back on my first trip to Disneyland at age 1 1/2 and WDW age 2 and the pics are priceless, theres nothing like seeing yourself at almost 2 and kissing the nose of a mouse from Cinderella and having her standing next to you holding your hand!! I just wish video cameras were more popular back then, we dont have a video of WDW until I was about 7 or 8 so take as many pics and videos as you can!!

That is SO exciting!!!! There's nothing like having the date set and being able to countdown. We are only 6 days away and I just got all choked up just thinking about it. We took DS & DD for the first time when DS was 4 and DD was 3. It was incredible! They are now 8 and almost 7 and this will be their 3rd trip. Have the most magical trip

Doh! I just noticed I forgot a day on my ressie. Was supposed to book an extra day so we could leave out in the morning rather than after we leave the park that night. Too many days spent researching too many packages/options/resorts/dates Got my dates confuzzled

We won't be taking our DD1 with us this trip though...going to stay with DM/DD. We figured that she would be too young to really "get" it and besides....she LOVES costumes characters...as long as they stay at least 50ft away

Anyone have any info about where/when DS can meet Buzz? He's his absolute favorite! Crossing my fingers, hoping for some Magic for DS

I'm going to take entirely tooo many pics! I'll have to take my laptop to download all the pics each day....my memory card in the camera only holds 760 pics at a time!
