Hi all - just returned from a fabulous WDW vacation (9/10 - 9/17) and I have been suffering severe disney withdrawal.

As fate would have it - the long closed airport where I live (Worcester, MA) just announced that it is re-opening and it has its first carrier - Allegiant Air - and the carrier will only be flying Worcester to Orlando -- the carrier is offering special introductory rates of $39 each way.

SOOOO... how can you resist that?

I booked me and my husband 2 tickets for Jan 29 - Feb 2nd for a quick getaway to our favorite place (total price -with fees and taxes) was $188 TOTAL (our recent trip in Sept. out of Boston was $420 Total so this is a great deal).

Used a coupon code for Alamo to secure a rental for that period ($100) and now, just waiting patiently and anxiously hoping that WDW releases codes for Jan/Feb.

When we were there in Sept - we used free dining (which allowed us to upgrade to AKL for the same price we were paying at POFQ) - this trip - we are hoping to stay at Pop if we can get a discount/code - otherwise, we will probably stay off site.

I am praying that WDW does another free dining promotion - that was the best!

So - for the first time ever (as we always go in Sept. for a week) - I am joining the Janaury/February code watchers!

Can't wait - pixie dust for all!

Congratulations! Lucky you! If those fares were offered around Phila, I would probably be planning more trips. I'm with you in hoping for some type of discount in January when I am surprising DH with a trip for his 50th birthday.

We're in Worcester too! I was thinking about taking a trip with just dh for a long weekend at the end of January. Maybe I need to look into this!

Did you book directly through Allegiant Air? I'm from Nashua....not too far a drive for those fares!

Allegiant goes to Sanford, from Des Moines anyway...it does not fly to MCO therefore no ME so that is why I axed the Allegiant air. They make us fly on certain days and times too...I don't like being so restricted. The fares from DSM were actually higher than us flying thru American and Disney Travel...

glad it is working out so well for you

have fun :sunny:

I am just outside worcester and I saw this too, got all excited but as it turns out they are not starting their flights in time for our trip, we leave about 4 days before. I will definately be looking into in the future though since it is so close to home.

Allegian Air also flies out of Portsmouth NH as well.
