Well I thought more about it and I actually have been thinking about this for the past year. I want to go and see other things with our kids other than Disney. I know!!!!!
We live close to D.C. and Baltimore so there is a lot around us or within a few hours that we have never done. Sure we have done the Baltimore thing and D.C. thing, but actually we have not been to D.C. in years. We have never been to Hershey Park and our oldest is the only one that has been to Busch Gardens and she was like 2 or 3 the last time we went. She is now 19. SO we are thinking of hitting that Memorial weekend.
Our oldest son is burned out on WDW and so we are trying HHI (still DVC but not WDW) in July. We did a gulf coast vacation 4 summers ago and our kids loved it. So there are other things besides WDW so I am trying to slowly do some of those things. It is soooooooooooooo hard to branch out. The boys want to try Wolf Lodge so we want to try that this year too.
I want to try new times of year at WDW...we have never done the MNSSHP so that is in the plans. I would love to take our youngest to a Star Wars weekend too. So I am trying to deviate from from the Jan. July and Nov. pattern that we have been on for several years.
To visit WDW during the Food & Wine festival-would also like to visit during the Flower and Garden show. That might have to wait until 2011! We have a summer HHI week planned and a non Disney trip for this spring.

I want to go to these too. We have been in May before years ago....not sure if they did "FLower and Garden" then but they had beautiful flowers at EC so maybe they did.
It may take "Giving it up for Lent" but I should resolve "spend less time on the Disboards", specifically the DVC ones.
The "giving it up" does work for me, I used to spend too much time playing games, finally giving it up for Lent caused me to break the habit, (read addiction maybe) and I've not gone back.
DH and I still talk about maybe "needing" more points, so I do look up resales and wonder just how we will feel this time next week as we stay at BLT for our first stay there.
What I've thought about doing this year (in spite of how this post began) is to try to meet more Disboard DVC friends. It seems that each year, I've met 1-2 new people and really, that's added to my joy of ownership.
DH and I love to go to National Parks as well, but we don't consider it an "either or" proposition. We're visiting Glacier this year. The great lodges in the Pacific Northwest will be next on our planning list. I began one of the National Park "Passports" at the Cumberland Gap NP in '91 and it's been filling up with cancellation stamps ever since. It's the very best souvenir that I've ever bought and if I have any regrets, it's that I didn't buy one of THOSE sooner, like when we visited NPs/NHSs with our DSs in the '80s!
One of my DVC resolutions is to try and exchange for those harder to get resorts (like AKV concierge, treehouse, OKW GV). Also, to only put big purchases on my Disney Rewards card and move on to another CC where I get better rewards.
I made my 2010 resolution to spend more time at DL resort in Anaheim when I bought points there in June. Sure we love SSR and we'll use our SSR points throughout WDW. GCV was a big resolution when you only live 20 minutes from a park and STILL add on points to stay there!
First to get really fit & run a Disney marathon in 2011 ( DH commented on how easily I managed to work another Disney trip into my first resolution wow! like I thought I could slip that past his notice ).
And go through all our closets, cupboards, storage bins to organize/discard but then I'd need to keep my 3rd resolution to spend less time online that resolution is already out the window.
To lose enough weight by the end of May, our first DVC trip, so that I won't feel guilty at the buffets. I started the last week of December at 240 pounds, now down to 235.
Not much, but it's a start. I'm aiming for 200 or less by our trip.
