home made Disney stuff? I have no talent for such things but I was given a gift of a Mickey head with my boardname on it and I think it is fantastic. Ilook at it every day and it got me to wondering... Does anyone else make or draw Disney characters for themselfs and would you care to share some of your collection?

I have some ideas floating around in my head. When it finally warms up outside I hope to put them to use.
Ages ago I bought one of those hobby kits where you make your own stepping stones. hhmmmmm Now wouldn't stepping stones in groups of three look rather nice? ;)
And a few years ago I bought a Mickey computer mirror. It's one of those things that is a curved reflection *mirror* that you mount on top of your monitor so you can see who is behind you without turning around.
I kept the package this came in. It's a heavy molded plastic in the shape of Mickey's head, ears and all. hhmmmm
Gee I could even make candles (which I never have done) or use that stepping stone material....
I have the idea basics. I just need to sit down and brainstorm. :)

One of my most prized possessions is a needlework cross-stitch that my grandmother made for me when I was born. It's Bambi and Thumper standing with three flowers. In each of the flowers is a different embroidered thing... Name, Date, and Weight. Each of the grandkids got one of these up until my little sister who was born just after Grandma died :(

I was lucky enough to hunt down the pattern last year on the 'net even though it's been out of print forever. A wonderful woman sent me the pattern and even some leftover thread she had from the project. I'm going to try to make one for my little sister and my nephews. Won't be the same, but still....

I have quite a few things which I see if I can scan/photograh some of them but I did find a pic of this little old thing. :teeth:

I made this last May. I worked on it for an average of an hour a day for the entire month. As you can see I had to change a few of the poses as some of the things like Capt. Hook's sword and Cruella's cigarette holder were just too thin and would have been to fragile.

A couple years ago I organized and ran craft shows in our area working with over 100 talented people that all knew about my love for Mickey.

I have one of a kind hand painted Mickey signs, placques, a Sorcerer Slate, Mickey Lamp and all kind of Mickey Christmas decorations. These are some of my most prized Mickey pieces because they were made especially for me by some very special friends.
