So Discouraged with my 180 ADRs

I know people have been having a hard time lately scoring the times they want. I was clicked in exactly at 6 AM (5 AM our time). I was able to get a few things I wanted, but the two I wanted most, Ohana dinner and BOG pre rope drop (even CP pre rope drop) and there was nothing. I thought that if I was flexible with the times I'd find something. There was literally zero reservations available for our entire trip for BOG (breakfast, lunch, dinner), nothing for pre rope drop at CP and zero Ohana dinner reservations. I know to keep stalking and trying. I've already submitted my request to TP reservations finder. I just wanted to commiserate with others that know how frustrated I am.

That's tough. My trip spans those days and I didn't have any problems. But I started booking this weekend.

I would start booking single reservations at BOG when they pop up. We managed to get all that we needed at BOG that way for a trip that we started planning around 60 days out. Good luck.

Thanks melanielll. We are doing two days at Universal before we arrive at Disney. I kept thinking this morning, if we had those two additional days added on I probably could have gotten something. Oh well, I'll keep trying.

Same boat here. We are at BLT 12/11-12/17. Very disappointed. Couldn't find a single lunch or dinner on our HS day besides HBD which isn't in our budget. Couldn't find GF Cafe for dinner any night. Not a single Bon Voyage Breakfast any morning even when I reduced my party to only 3.

I just don't see how it is possible for absolutely nothing to be available. I'm hoping that Disney is holding back some reservations to be released at a later point.

With the two you list, PPO BOG and Ohana, it is VERY possible that they are already gone. You are talking about the 2 MOST popular locations on all of Disney World property. Especially if you are limiting when you are willing to eat there.

The same thing happened to me when I was online at exactly 5am my time on June 1st. I think there are several things in play. Disney is holding back a certain number of ADRs for the various dining packages that haven't been opened as yet. People are reserving multiple ADRs for restaurants that would be their second or third choices for a specific day. Free dining means people who might not ordinarily eat at TS restaurants are doing so because they will have paid for those meals already. I never have as much trouble with making my May ADRs as I do in Nov/Dec and I think the parks are busier in May. I did use touring plans for the first time and got two of the ADRs I wanted the most. The Garden Grill ADR was on the day I wanted and the time I wanted. My dinner BOG ADR wasn't my first choice for day or time, but I'm just happy to have one at all. I'm still trying to decide my second choice for my 65th birthday dinner if I can't get a BOG ADR for that day. It's really frustrating to be up so early and not get the ADRs you want even with being flexible. But I was prepared this year since it happened last year as well. Just part of the way things are now.

Guys, what time does the booking open? The OP said they logged in at 6 am (5 am local for the OP) and I thought the booking opened at 5 am Florida time.

I had good luck with the TouringPlans reservation finder. You have to buy a one year subscription to use it, but it was worth it. I was about to get a BOG reservation at 11:30 and an Ohana reservation at 7:00 after about a week using it.

Stuff will open up. It always does. It is dang near impossible for anyone to plan a day 6 months from now. Plans change constantly. Just look at the site a lot, get the TP res finder and if nothing really truly pops up well at least you're at Disney World! Even (most of) the quick service is good. You'll find it though, I'm pretty certain.

The reservation finder works great. You don't need a paid subscription to use it. I don't have one and I've used the reservation finder in the past couple of weeks.

Those two reservations are extremely popular and probably are gone. They will most likely open again though so do keep trying.

On my upcoming trip for this august I was also unable to get BOG at the 180 mark , right at the opening window. I agree that Disney holds back in terms of what they release. I was able to get it 2 months later so good luck! Keep trying.

I feel you, OP. I haven't gotten Ohana dinner in the last three trips (although I'm restrictive because I won't take after 7:30 for children sanity reasons). But you know, not getting Ohana meant we tried Tusker House and it was our best meal that trip.

Actually, you can use the touring plans reservation finder as a guest. I just used it to find my two most wanted ADRs as a guest.

Keep checking and BE FLEXIBLE! I'm always in Orlando at that time in December through Christmas, and I've always been able to find BOG a couple of days out, and even got a Christmas Eve dinner reservation the day of. Is the time absolutely perfect? Meh - not always, but it's usually within 30-60 minutes of where I'd like it to be! Also, look right around the 60 day mark when it's final payment for packages - LOTS of people cancel and ressies flood the system.

I actually got a primo California Grill reservation for a larger party (6!) 45 minutes before fireworks for my trip a couple of weeks ago - and I got it four days out!

Not only is it possible, it is likely that they are fully booked by those who had the option sooner than you.
I believe firmly that many folks continue to work around the system and book multiple ADR's for "Just in Case I want it in 6 months" for themselves. As dates near, they cancel and ADR's open up.
Last trip I was never able to get BOG dinner in spite of trying at 180 + 10, stalking the site and using Touring Plans reservation finder. It is that hard to book.
Other than the current lack of Epcot reservations after Thanksgiving, I do not believe that Disney holds back spots. I do think right now, until the Candlelight Processional dates and times are released, Epcot reservations are being held back.
Good Luck
