I'm seeing conflicting things about the kid who accused Michael Jackson of molestation. One is saying the kid came forward the day he died and said his father made him lie and he was sorry... and the other saying he wrote (or is writing?) a book with all the nasty details of thier sexual affair. :confused3

I can't find a creditable news station. But I did find alot of sites I never heard of with all the same info.

Jordan Chandler said he never made a statement about lying. http://news.lalate.com/2009/06/30/jordan-chandler-statement-not/

Doesn't look like a reputable site either, so who knows. The original article was poorly written and I have doubts about it being true. I'm not saying I don't think he lied. I just don't think he came out with a statement saying so. He'd have to be really dumb to do that.

I'd really like to be able to put this to rest for my own selfish self. I hate this little trickle of doubt that just wont go away. I feel so bad for the crappy things that happened to MJ in his life, but then I hate that I may be feeling sympathy for a ped-o. The thing is I can talk myself into seeing it either way. :headache:
I'm going to have to shake this. I am spending too much time in sympathy mode :( I will have to find a way to say I will assume he was innocent and that if he was guilty I hope he found a way to make it right with his maker.
I dont even feel good typing that....
If that boy and his dad lied, they better start making THAT right with their maker.

I feel the same way. There is this little bit of doubt that won't go away.
Just because he was eccentric does not mean he was a pedophile, but that nagging feeling is still there.

If I am not mistaken, the British tabloid The Sun first "broke" this story (invented it) and the mainstream media has not carried it for a very good reason. It's b.s. If a story originates with The Sun or The News of the World, I take it with a grain of salt about the size of my backside. They are notorious for making crap up out of thin air.

A dead giveaway is often the fact that they will "quote" an American using language or phrases that only a Brit would use. You'd think they'd have the sense to hire a writer who had lived in the US or at least watched enough American TV to have a clue, but in reality, they just care about stirring the pot and letting the smell spread.

Read the original article. They consistently mix up the father's name and the son's name. They say EVAN Chandler was taped in the interview as saying he had been forced to make the whole thing up by his father. Well, EVAN Chandler is the father. DUH! Then the article calls his father, JORDAN Chandler, which is actually the son's name. In the next sentence, they correctly call the son Jordan, instead of Evan, as they had referred to him just a few sentences earlier. :rolleyes1 I won't even get into the poor spelling....."I can't BARE to lie anymore."

It's obvious they wanted to get this story out ASAP before anyone else could make it up. :rotfl2: Too bad they can't even keep TWO names straight in a very short tall tale.

EMom- OT, but thanks for the smiles. I had BOTH glass click-claks AND the Chrissy doll. Still have Chrissy! :)

As for the article... sounds like they are a known pathetic news source. Thanks for the info.

I have never been able to make my mind on the molestation accusations. But if my child was molested I wouldn't care about money. I would do my best to make sure the person did prison time and could never hurt another child. I do find it weird that Jordan Chandler's father never pushed for prosecution or warned others about MJ.

I don't know what to think of it. I think it is highly possible, but not out of maliciousness. Based on what he himself has admitted to, I believe that he truly did not have a sense of what was appropriate and what was not. That is the reason I believe it is possible. That he may have crossed some boundaries truly believing there was nothing wrong. It seems that in many ways he simply never made it out of childhood himself and identified heavily with young boys (referring to himself as Peter Pan, the Neverland Ranch) and he did admit to having sleepovers with young boys. That in and of itself is inappropriate behavior fo a grown man.

I have serious reservations myself.. Two out of three cases (if I am recalling correctly), the parent(s) accepted hugecash settlements - rather than seeing this "child molestor" put behind bars where he could never harm a child again.. In the trial case, he was found "not guilty".. Three cases - out of all the years he was around little children.. Something doesn't add up there for me.. I guess we'll never know for sure now - unless when all three children become middle aged adults, they come forward and say that they lied (or didn't)..:confused3
