so DH & I were discussing trip

we are heading back to the WDW in June again. We drive 18 hrs from PA leaving on Thursday 6pm will get us to Pop Century approx 12 noon on Friday 6/16/06. We will check out Friday 6/23/06. Last year we left at noon on Sat and arrived in our drive way 6AM sunday and had to go to work on Monday. We were tired to say the least.

So dh says to me We are leaving on Friday? Are you sure we will be there long enough? No wonder I love this man. No complaining about another disney trip. He wants to stay longer. No wonder he is the man of my dreams.

We're driving down too when we go and it's going to take us about 17 hours. How many stops do you usally make when driving from PA?

We drive from Central NJ and it takes us about 17 hours and that includes a stop for breakfast! My DH is Speed Racer. I tell him that I become closer to God on the road trips because I'm constantly praying that we make it down in one piece.

We usually take two days to drive down. I know it prolongs the waiting, but it builds the excitement to say, OK, it's 7 states away, now it's 6, etc.......

I actually like the drive down, 95 isn't terribly exciting, but I really like driving!

Takes us 17 hours from NYC driving straight through.

We will drive from Va. It took us 12 hours and 30 minutes last time. Not a bad drive, we went straight through (I love reading South of the Boarder signs). I think this time we will stop somewhere in South Carolina. Or maybe even go out of our way a little and catch the Braves (3 game series that week with the Red Sox, so we are not counting on being able to get tickets.)
