So confused, please help me understand ADR and the 180!

I'm sorry if this has already been asked and answered. I have read so many threads that my head hurts. I am a little confused about the ADR's. 1. Do I call Disney to make the reservation or am I supposed to go the the MDE site? We are staying at the Boardwalk Villas from December 6-12. We rented points. 2. Can I make all our ADR's on the 180th day? Or do I call each day to make a reservation for the next vacation day? 3. Do I need to call at 6am? We are just making ADR's for epcot restaurants in Italy and France and UK. No character dining.

We haven't been to WDW in over 10 years and a lot has changed. We just surprised our boys with this wonderful vacation and I want to make sure I plan everything well. Thank you ahead of time for all your help and tips. I can use any advice, even about scheduling our day in the parks.
