Hi. I've Googled and looked at the DC site and am super confused. I'm currently looking at an Eastern Caribbean Cruise for next January on the Disney Fantasy. I can't figure out the difference in between the following cabin numbers or what deck they're on? :confused3

Deluxe Family Oceanview Stateroom with Verandah
Category 04A
Category 04B
Category 04C
Category 04D

I tried to plan a cruise a couple of years ago but life happened. This cruise looks like it could come to fruition. pixiedust:

Any help would be appreciated. :thanks:

Yes, thank you, but I guess what am asking is what number is the top and which is the bottom of the ship? Am I even making sense?

Deck one is the deck closest to the water line. Deck 14 is the deck at the top of the ship.

:thanks: Do you know where I could find a diagram? I Googled and came up with drawings so tiny I couldn't read them. :rotfl:

On the DCL website
http://disneycruise.disney.go.com/

Hover over the "Ships and Activities" tab. Click on "Staterooms Disney Dream & Fantasy"

Just underneath the picture is a button "Deck Plan". Click on that. It takes a few seconds to load, but then you can use the deck numbers on the right side of the page to click on and see the deck layout. When you are looking at the deck layout, putting your curser on a room will bring up info about that room.

Thank you! That is exactly what I needed. :thumbsup2

You will get varied responses on what deck is "better". But here is my two cents.

I try to avoid deck 10 on the Dream and Fantasy, some of the rooms are right below the pool deck, and I had a bad experience on another cruise line with deck chairs and power washing occurring at 5am right above where I was trying to sleep.

I try to stick to places where there are staterooms above and below me. So, our favorite is Deck 8. We were just in a 4B, 8610, on the Dream, in January. It is midship, and 8 is almost the same distance from everything (restaurants, pools, etc.) We always choose the Starboard side, since that will face Castaway Cay when you dock there.

You think like I do.
I want cabins above and below
I want a midship location close to elevators and stairs
I want Starboard side(Fireworks, Castaway Cay view)
Deck 7 or 8 is great for us-equal distance up to pool deck or down to Atrium/Oceaneers Club/Dining.

This sounds perfect! I definitely don't want pool noise above me nor do I want to be on the lowest deck. :thanks:

If you go through a booking on the DCL website, when you are choosing a stateroom it will tell you what deck or decks that stateroom may be located on.

The Wonder is different in that the difference between an A,B,C, etc. of the same category is more about location (forward, mid ship, aft) than deck number. Typically, A is priced more than a B and so on, but usually not by much. All category 4s are on deck 8. Are you travelling with 5, or just want a larger room? I believe on the Fantasy, a 4E only sleeps 4. Hope that helps.
