I happened to be looking on the Disney site and saw they had some good rates for Florida residents in December. So I took a peek at my calender and thought a quick trip up 12/ 16 through 12/20 or so would be good.

Then I got out my trusty Birnbaum's Walt Disney World Book and saw that under least crowded Week after Thanksgiving through week before Christmas

Then this under most crowded Christmas through New Years...

Ugh I am confused? :confused3 Or maybe I am just having a brain cramp. Does that mean the time I would go up wouldn't be to crowded since it is before Christmas???

I have never been in December so I have no idea.

we usually go before christmas (2-3 weeks before) and its like deserted, there may be lines but it is quite enjoyable when it starts getting packed is the saturday before christmas and we last time got out of there the saturday but this year were going the first week of december but your okay till the saturday before christmas so any time between then is ok. its really nice the weeks before christmas and there are people there but not loads of people and you can enjoy all the decorations and just the christmas feeling they have. hope i helped a bit

Thanks so much!!! Now if our house in Ma sells, I will be booking a few trips. Have you ever been to the Christmas party? I am bringing DD to MNNSHP for the first time (both of us) and I am really excited.

Thanks again!

The weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas are some of the best weeks to go to Disney, but more people are finding out about them. The week just before Christams can get busy, the others will be weeks where you can walk on most attractions.

If you are NOT into crowds, don't go between Christmas and New Years.

I love the Christmas party and try to go at least once whenever we are there during party times. We are going to try for the halloween party this year also.

I am hoping it won't be too bad. We will be there for a short trip to see the parks decked out for Christmas from the 18th-21st. I don't care so much about ride lines, I just don't want it to be shoulder to shoulder in the parks so that we can't enjoy the decorations. What do you think it will be like? It will still be almost a full week before Christmas day when we arrive.

It is a great party,we've been each year since 1992 and sometimes twice. We have been first part of Dec each year since 1992 also. The crowds during that time have increased some each year it seems.Still not huge though and we a have no trouble with long waits or trouble with packed dining spots. With fast pass and arrive early touring is great. It is a special time to visit with all the holiday doings and decorations.Don't miss Candlelight Processional or Osbourne Lights. :goodvibes :earsboy: :flower:

Last year we were there from 12/15-12/23. We really enjoyed ourselves up until the last two days of our trip. I believe it was the 21st and 22nd and the wait for Space Moutain was almost 2 hours!! It was horrible. The next day we went to Epcot and the wait for Test Track was also close to 2 hours. I would say the crowds are not as bad if you go the first part of December. This year we will be there from 12/15-12/19, I hope we leave before the crowds get too bad!

I know this may seem silly seeing as how we are going next month, but I am planning on going back in 2007 and we are thinking about doing it the first week of December so seeing all this December stuff gets me excited all over again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey, I'm taking my son and D-I-L Sept 18th-24th (just two more weeks :cool1: ). I'm also taking my 73 y/o mom for her first ever trip to WDW Dec 9th-18th. The Sept trip is paid for and all ADRs are made. Plans are completed in other words.

Two days ago I bought airline tickets for my Dec trip and I've already bought tickets for the CP (at Alfredos for Dec 9th) and MVMCP and have ADRs for LTT the night of MVMCP on the 13th. Sept 10th I can make the rest of the ADRs for our Dec trip, so already have the list made out. Everytime she comes over my D-I-L laughs because I have so much stuff piled up on my desk and have it labeled either Sept trip or Dec trip. She says she hopes I don't get my Dec ADRs mixed up with our Sept ones. It's never too early to get excited about a trip to WDW or to start planning another one..

We go every December between Thanksgiving and New Years and it was much more crowded last year but I'm hoping that had something to do with Thanksgiving being so late in Nov. :flower:

MVMCP is a must. Last year the cookies were Snickerdoodles instead of sugar and they were really good (I'm not a cookie fan). However, I noticed a big increase in the crowds over 2003, so we'll see. :flower:
