I read and re-read all of the info regarding the dining plan but now I am more confused than ever! It will be myself, hubby and three DD (10,8 and 6) there for 5 days/4 nights. The girls are not HUGE eaters (not picky, just don't eat much at a meal!) ....nor do we like to be so booked at restaurants and have to leave a line, etc....to get there on time. I am a little confused by all the lingo everyone is using about the dining plan and am just hoping someone in a similiar situation can give me some help in simple terms:goodvibes I would appreciate any advice on this...the other thing is that we JUST found out we are going and it is in 3 weeks :cool1: so I was even wondering if most of the restaurants will already be booked. I think I need more coffee!:surfweb:

Take a deep breath and relax
Im sure there are lots of wonderful places to eat still
You may need to be flexible on some times but im sure you will still have really great options.

First maybe decide what parks or resort you will be at on a particular day of your vacation them look and the restaurants in that area you may be interested in eating. Then call Disney dining and see whats availible the cast members are very helpful.

If you are on the Regular Dining plan you get 1 table service meal (one sit down meal) 1 Counter Service Meal (one fast food meal) and 1 snack per night of your trip so for your trip

you will have 12 Adult Table Service Credits 8 Child Table Service Credits
12 Counter Service Adult Credits 8 Child Counter Service Credits and 20 Snack Credits

Hope this helps you a bit

Just keep in mind that the dining plan might not be the best choice for your family. If you don't like to be "so booked at restaurants" as you say, and your DD's don't eat that much (because one will be considered an adult) it might not be a good fit for you.

Look at the menu's at allears.net, it has all the menu's for the table service as well as the counter service restaurants. That way you can compare the cost.

Hope you have a great trip!:goodvibes
