Has anyone bought the So. Cal tickets from disneyland.com? I'm from Philadelphia and was going to use a friend's address to get the tickets. Has anyone done this before and do they ask for IDs when entering the park?
What you're proposing is definitely a violation of Disneyland policy and therefore of a violation of this website's policy as well. Disneyland absolutely reserves the right to check ID's. Also, for your information, the billing address for the credit card must be a SoCal address, so your online order would be denied anyway.
Yep. Our friends won a trip through the Ellen Show and were surprised when they sent them the SoCal tickets for their trip (they live in Northern CA). They had to call and get an exception placed on their tickets so they can use them since they weren't going to the park with a SoCal resident. If your friend is going with you then they can purchase them and you can go with them.
In that case it would be fine. You have to by a SoCal resident to purchase the tickets. Ticket can be given to other as a a gift, which it sounds like your mom is doing.

You beat me to it Shannon!! I was just going to say when I saw my tickets were Socal I freaked out and called in to Disney. She told me that they do NOT allow people to use the tickets that are not Socal residents. I have to be on a list and provide proof. Apparently it's a pretty big deal to Disney.
