My college buddy has a Southern Cal annual pass for her son and herself and when we go down next we would like to take him with us to Disney for the day, she would be at work. Do I need any id or note to say I have permission to bring him to the park or just scan the AP and walk in. I would not have a So Cal annual pass so would they care if he has one and we don't?

You didn't mention what days you are taking him, but just know that his pass is not good on certain dates depending upon whether he has the So. Cal or So. Cal. Select pass. You can check block out dates here and here.

Have fun at the Park,

I would also get a note from your friend that says you have permission to be taking care of the child for the day or are the contact, should he get lost - and include her phone number on it. Usually, they need identification for lost children.
