Well, I spoke to Juliana today for an Intimate at the WP for January 8, 2007 and she said that I can only book the WP 8 months in advance. Only the outdoor locations let you book a year in advance. Now I have to wait till may to book Was this the rule last year?

Is she your Wedding Coordinator? I was able to book my intimate at the WP 1 year out for December 19, 2006. I would call back just to make sure- hopefully things will work out that you can book it now. Good luck

I would def. call back and ask again. It can't hurt. I know that is used to be 1 year, but with all the changes happening at Disney I wouldn't be surprised. Good Luck

Yes, she is my wedding coordinator but I think she's new. There is only one other person on these boards I've seen that has her for a Wedding this fall. I sure hope that the info she gave me is wrong

That may be a new change for 2007, but I can't say for sure since I originally booked an outdoor location 12 months ahead before I switched to the WP a week later.

I would just ask Juliana if that's new and then mark your calendar for the date to call her - she'll know to expect your call! A lot of us go through the "pre-planning" stage - it's tough, but survivable! Hang in there!

Geez! I am praying that this pre-planning stage is going to be over soon. In my fairy tale I have a fabulous Wedding Pavillion wedding and have the whole thing planned out a year ahead without ever thinking about it again until the day before the wedding. I know that if anyone just read that they are laughing their butt off at me and yelling DREAM ON!

Don't stress that's the last thing you need to do. All the preplanning stuff will go by quick!

Juliana called me back and said that is the new policy for booking. I still question it though. However, since she is my EM I am afraid to go over her head b/c I don't want to ruffle feathers and get myself in a sticky situation. What should I do?

I was able to book mine at the WP one year in advance. My EM never said anything to the contrary....

I am just so dissapointed and I really want to get something booked and out of the way. Without a specific date I can't book an MK photo session, photos with Chapman, or a minister! I am really worried about it.

it doesn't hurt to call and talk to soemone else. Or voice your concerna to your Em. Tell her you are really worried you won't get the WP.

I feel for you - Disney weddings are hard to plan because of all the restrictions and waiting. But it gets better. Disney is like a machine with these weddings - once you have a ps your entire day is planned so do not panic.

I am really surprised and a bit upset by all these changes though. Why make people wait to book the ceremony for 8 months - thats scarey.

EDIT: i was thinking just noe...where are you having your reception?? because they make you wait 8 months to book the ballrooms? maybe that is why you can not book the WP alone???

I would go ahead and book Randy. Let him know about the time situation, if anything he will refund the deposit if it doesn't work out, and at least you'll still have him booked if it all works out.

THis is just an intimate so I'm not booking a ballroom just the commander's terrace

i think then it must be a 2007 thing. other brides on here are 2006 brides so them as an example wouldn't work.

And as far as the MK photo shoot, are they booking them into 2007 yet? If they are, are you going to do it on your actual wedding day? If not, then just pick the day around your wedding date that you want to do the MK photo shoot.

As far as booking the MK photo session. I would call right away after you are able to book the WP. Ask your EM and she'll give you the number. Remember to have your hotel reservations ready so when it is time to book you don't have to stress out about that wait. From what I understand that my EM told me that Disney Photo just links your MK Photo session to your DFTW reservations which is linked to your room reservations. I hope things will work out and sorry for the confusion about booking 1 year in advanced. I am a 2006 intimate bride and thought there would be no problems with a 2007 intimate bride booking 1 year in advanced. They might have changed the rules though.
