So Bummed out

My plans are messed up. I posted awhile ago about CSR and getting two rooms. Two teens, me and a husband that snores like crazy. Got a rate of $1900 for 2 standard rooms with double beds for 8 nights. They said they couldn't confirm connecting rooms, but that it wouldn't be a problem, at checkin since it is a family.
So today the confirmation arrives and the rooms have king beds, not doubles.When I called they said the king rooms do not connect and are not near each other. They have nothing else available. Except for 2 connecting standard rooms through the convention number ( I am going for Pop Warner Awards) that will cost $2550. Well, I can't afford that. The $1900 rate was a little excessive for my budget.
Oh, just a side note- the convention number said CSR only has doubles, that I must be wrong. I mentioned I was looking at the confirmation sheet as we spoke.
No bad attitudes from me or them, just a sad mix up and now we are staying at HIFS. Boo.
They said nothing available at any moderates, a room at Key West for $385, and All-Stars.

We are going through the same thing right now. We downgraded from WL to POFQ. I would just keep calling and checking availability....

Yesterday we were told NO availability at POFQ or POR and today we got POFQ with 2 King beds... I am just going to keep calling to see if we can get that changed to 2 standard rooms..

What type of villa was available at OKW? If it was a one bedroom, you might want to grab that. You'd get a king sized bed in the bedroom and a queen sized sleeper sofa in the living room. Plus a Jacuzzi in the bathroom. And a washer and dryer in your personal laundry room.

If it was a studio, you'd get two queensized beds, a huge bathroom, microwave and refrigerator.

I just called again this morning and they had standard rooms available for me at POFQ.... I would just keep trying. I have had a lot of success when I keep calling back.

I had to call Central Res. every morning until I got my 2 standard rooms at POR for the CTV Rate, (Disney Visa Room Only).

We had reservations at the French Quarter, but my husband really want Riverside, so I kept trying.

People cancel all the time, so it pays to keep calling. There have been toll-free numbers posted on this board, so it will help with the phone bill that way! I had a toll free number that I got with my ticket purchase, so I didn't have to worry about long distance.

Although, it drove me crazy to have to go through all their questions before you get through to a CM, that was the only drawback!

Thanks for the replies and ideas. I called today- same thing. No availablity at any moderate with BBY code. MY choice right now is HIFS, Pop Century, or ASMusic. But I am a little worried about a value resort as far as noise and stuff. But staying off-site will be a pain......
I guess noone would mind cheerleaders unsupervised for 8 nights at CSR, right????? just kidding

Now you have me worried....I just made ressies at CSR for my family. I haven't got the confirmation in the mail yet, but I hope I don't get two kings. Even so, I would take the other posters' recommendation to keep trying. I'm sure you'll get what you want with the code that you want.

In regards to how much trouble two teenagers alone can cause....we stayed at CSR one night & there was a LOUD karaoke party in the room above us!! Not that your girls would ever cause any trouble!!!

FW Cabins should be $169 for your time frame...but you must book by tomorrow. I didn't think I could post the actual code, but I know mouse savers has it posted. Also...did you look into getting the Annual Pass?? You will end up saving more money.... and who knows, maybe they will have availability with an AP rate....you never know with Disney!!!

how can you tell if you have double beds or a king, the paperwork I was sent just say standard view, 1 room.

My paper confirmation said "king bed". Also, tried for any availability for a moderate or deluxe using codes, and nothing available for my dates. I keep calling everyday so .....maybe something will become available.

OK. Now I may be in the same boat! I need to call Disney, but I just got my paperwork & I now have TWO reservations for a total of FOUR rooms, all with KING beds for 2 Adults, 1 Junior & 1 child on each reservation.

It is suppose to be 3 Adults, 1 Junior & 1 Child in TWO rooms. UGH!

cheermom - You should try for the moderates again. I was in a similar situation for 7 nights at CSR. When I got my confirmation, I had two kings, like you. Well, I have two pre-teens, plus DD-22, as well as DH & I. There is no way that the 2 Kings setup would work.

So I called Disney. After a lot of patience & time.... It ends up that they had standard rooms available at the discount rate for all nights but one. I had a choice of moving my dates over by one day, or paying rack rate for the one night. (Of course now that I think of it, I should get the AAA rate for that night. ) I chose the latter since my dates were set. But, even with the new set up, the price went down fro the original because standard rooms are cheaper than the King rooms.

So if you are a little more flexible either in your payment or in your dates, you CAN get it to work. You just might need to be a little creative. Good Luck!

Keep calling back....I added a night to my original ressie at POFQ and they only had AAA code...happened to call today to ask a question about another deposit being requested. The CM says lets see if we can get that other rate first....and low and behold...she has a similar rate...not the exact rate but way better then the AAA rate....

And I don't have to pay another deposit...

Cheermom, just sending some Pixie Dust your way. I'm the mom of a cheerleader, and 2 boys who play baseball, basketball, and football so I understand your dilemma! I hope what you wants opens up for you because I wouldn't stay offsite unless there was no other option. Good luck and keep us posted!
