Was beyond ridiculously amazing. I think New Orleans square might have converted me from WDW to DL.

For bonus points, Louisiana lemonade is ridiculous.

Glad you liked it! I love BB. I'm always a little sad when people find it disappointing. I do understand that that can happen with big expectations and a place not living up to them, but I personally find BB charming and a must-do with my family. I miss the kids' pirate hat menus, though!

So true. I enjoy MK, but Liberty Square is just not the same thing. It always feels like the "heart" of the park is missing there to me. That heart is NOS.

Ok, I was already excited about it, but now I'm dying!! We are eating there 10/12 for my DD's bday. I've been emailing with one of the pastry chefs for a pirate cake to be delivered during. I am so dang excited!!

Booked for Sunday lunch, so looking forward to it! Got an idea of what it is like from Pirates, which in a way did spoil it a tiny bit.

Also off topic, but DL pirates is so much better then the version in Florida. I've literally done it 5 times already this week.

Will be there in March '15, can't wait! The last time we ate at the BB was in 1987 :confused3 Just to be sure since we've never done ADR before, it's 90 days out for the soonest I can reserve right? Thanks.

Oh yum! Just yesterday Blue Bayou popped into my head and I told DD11 we'd have to try for that ressie for Dec 23. It's still 60 days out for DL, right?

As DizMe mentioned, Blue Bayou really is charming! I wasn't expecting all that much and really just wanted to eat there for the atmosphere, but the food was surprisingly good! I did think the portions were really big, so my husband and I split an entree, so the prices really aren't bad either. We were lucky to snag a table right on the water as well. Definitely a must-do for future trips!

I agree on the portion size! It's nice for us because it makes the meal quite affordable since we share.

Completely amazing! I like to try new things when we go, so we can eventually experience it all (or close to it) but I think after our last trip, BB is going to always be a must-do each trip!

My dad and I were finally able to go back after 15 years and I loved it. I thought the food and service was great.

The service was insane. As someone that gets very thirsty in the parks, a full beverage in a restaurant is key.

The BB staff literally kept filling up my glass from a pitcher every time it approached half full. I was literally laughing at the table as to how fast they were.

I will for sure make a stop at the bayou a part of every DL trip I make.

It's a must do for me also every trip. Just love the atmosphere. It's just too bad that it is so expensive now. I have a menu from our trip about 10 yrs ago, and the prices have more than doubled. I know prices go up, but when they re-positioned it some years ago to be a 'Signature restaurant' (to coin a DW label), the pricing went way up. We used to eat there more when it didn't cost much more - or about the same - as the other TS restaurants.
