So best way to book FP is no longer to start by selecting opposite time you actually want?

If I'm understanding correctly with the new changes to how FPs are booked we no longer have to choose, say, morning FPs if you really want afternoon FPs, and then quickly modify each one to the time you really want.

I never knew that was a thing. I always just booked the ones closest to the times I wanted, and modified them if I could. Why on earth would you book opposite?

You can look at all the times available for each FP now.

The old way, when the computer "picked" your times for you, if all of its choices didn't fit into your actual schedule, if you wanted to change all 3 of them the best thing to do was pick the set of FPs furthest opposite from the times you wanted. Then when you moved them around, you would not have the ones the computer chose in the way when you tried to move others.

It was easier to move things around and end up with the times that you wanted if the times were far apart when you initially booked them. i.e. if you wanted a 12:00 - 1:00 and then a 1:05 - 2:05 and a 3:10 - 4:10, but it gave you a 12:00 - 1:00, a 1:30 - 2:30, and a 4:00 - 5:00, the times would be so close together that it would be hard to move them around to the times you wanted. It's hard to explain without actually "doing it" on the app.

Plus, now you only book one at a time. I just booked mine last week. It was simple to book a first FP for the time I wanted and then fit the other two into a nearby window. But like I said, one at a time - pick the experience, pick an available time window, confirm it, and then start over with the next FP.

I agree completely. I read all about it before I actually booked my fastpasses for the first time, but never really understood the issue until going through the steps. Glad it has changed, because it was kind of a pain the old way.
