Ok please forgive me here....with the new FP system all you can get is 3 per day correct?? If you are on site you can book in advance, if you are offsite you can book at the park upon entrance, is that also correct? But 3 is all max????? Please someone tell me I am mis informed about this.....because if true I am a little miffed......

Sorry, but 3 is it.

DHS and EP still have paper machines, so if you have a paper ticket you can pull additional ones. But word on the street is that those 2 parks will cover their machines very soon too.

I wish you were misinformed. You're completely right. Sorry :sad2:

You know, this very thing hit me like a ton of bricks today while I was driving. It hit me: Only 3 FPs??????? On previous trips we had it all down to a science and pulled MANY FPs per day and rode our favorite attractions multiple times. LOVED our visits.

We have been on the fence for months now about celebrating my 50th birthday at DW this March, but I just cannot pull the trigger. I like things that make sense, and for my family, these new bands do not make sense and will totally change the way we tour. I just don't think we're gonna like it.:worried:

The whole FP situation is bad enough but if we have trouble even getting into our room because the MBs are on the fritz like so many have posted?????:scared1: I do not have a high tolerance level for those types of annoyances.

Feeling sad about this whole situation.

Nope. Very true. And...let's not forget that in HS and Epcot they have the tier system in place. So...only 1 "A" FP ie: RNR or TSM but you cannot pull 2 of the same. For Epcot I believe you can pull 1 for Soarin OR Test Track but you can't get 1 of each due to the tier system.

You are not alone. We are in the middle of rethinking our August vacation for DD's sweet 16. She really wanted to celebrate in Disney (DVC, 10 days). Now we are looking into 5 days at WDW and 5 days at US/SeaWorld. Can't bring ourselves to snuggle in at the world for our entire vacation as we are huge FP users. We also don't like the tier system. I like the RNR but not TOT yet I can't get 2 RNR and forgo the TOT. And like you, I have no tolerance for things not working properly while on vacation especially if it takes time out of my vacation to stand in line to have it fix (and then find out is still doesn't work). But nothing we can do except accept the change or move on.

Don't forget the tiering at Epcot and DHS. That adds another bit of stress to pre-planning.

i don't mind that you only get three in a park in a day, BUT....i wish if you paid for parkhopper you got at least one or two for a second park...or even let you split up your original three. it takes the appeal of the parkhopper option way down, in my opinion. we might re-think paying extra for parkhopper in the future if this policy stays as-is.

Especially since everyone is so different when it comes to comfort level and families with different sized and aged children. Personally, I don't like that Disney has now decided to dictate that one can only have 3 passes but...I like it even less that you cannot have 2 for the same ride. Fine if Disney wants to limit us to 3, their perogative to do so, but to control how to use my 3 FP's I don't agree with at all. My money, my ticket = my choice.

Exactly but I think if one pays for a hopper (and we all know that this is not a cheap add-on), then for every park you wish to hop to, Disney should a lot the ticket holder 3 FP for each park. I'd even think that MK should be 4-5 due to the number of rides there are. Just my opinion.

Don't worry, if Disney starts selling additional FP+ reservations like I believe they will, then you will be able to purchase as many extra FP+ E-tickets as you'd like for a small fee per each.

Then you can be happy again...:)

Happy to pay for a benefit that was previously free?

I would be willing to pay for this system too as I see it as an advantage for us to tour the parks. We have already used FP+, first without tiering and then with tiering. We will be visiting this year, without access to paper FP more than likely. We have already decided if we don't like it, we will more than likely stick to Disney Cruises and Disneyland, with maybe a brief trip to EPCOT and AK before or after the cruise.

We've decided to do park hoppers because we will do rope drop to get on one must-do ride in the morning. Will have FP+ booked at another park for the afternoon. We will plan at least two afternoons in Epcot to compensate for the tier system. DHS only has one tier A attraction we will go on, and so we might do one morning there and an afternoon/evening for Fantasmic. The only park we are not sure about for planning is MK.

I just changed my tickets for February from PH to base tickets for our upcoming Feb trip for this very reason. I know lots of people are saving their 3FP+ for the second park of the day, but we liked FP because we could go anywhere we wanted for the second half of the day, and don't decide until the last minute. This part just doesn't work for us.
Not only did Disney lose our significant PH dollars, we probably won't be doing as many dinners on property, since one of the main reasons we go to the second park is for dining.

Before it was free, it was nonexistent. If - big if - Disney were to start selling supplementtal FastPasses, it would be optional, not required.

I too would happily pay for additional FP+. If they sold them individually or in lots of 3 or 5 I'd be very eager to buy. No problem.

Maybe they could work that into a new slogan or something.
