So again, how crowded is it really at Christmas?

We went a few years ago, and crowds were OK. We went to Epcot on Christmas Day and it wasn't crowded.

we go to wdw at xmas like every year. i dont find the crowds to be that big of a problem. we work around it, like strategically getting fast passes, etc. i havent been done there when it wasnt xmas for a few years so i can't remember exactly what it was like before. If you want, MVMCP is a good option for MK because you can ride everything you want in one night and it has a limited numbr of tickets.

I've battled peak summer crowds, and they were a walk in the park compared to Christmas week. I found it almost difficult to have a good time. During the afternoon parade, it was literally impossible to get from Liberty Square to Frontierland. All of the walkways were at a standstill and you had no choice but to stay and watch the parade (yeah, it was nice and all, but instead of watching it for the 2nd time, I wanted to ride Splash!). After the parade passed, the mob scene was actually scary.

I would try either the first or second week of December or the 2nd or 3rd week of January if you can help it.

So do you think the crowds drop off a whole lot on, say, Jan 2 (first wk of Jan)? Are the Christmas decorations still up? When do they come down?

We will be there the 19th through the 24th. I have read on these boards that if you have a good plan and get the parks early you will be ok. I'm hoping that is the case...either way we are going to Disney!! YEAH!!
