Planning on a SNUBA excursion in Key West in February, what would the water temperature be around this time? I dont want to put down $400+ just to have it too cold to dive, even with wetsuits. I doubt the company would give a refund if my kids found it too cold to dive.

My son and husband did snuba in Key West in February One year. They wore shorty wetsuits and said it was chilly, but tolerable.

According to Google the average water temperature in Key West in February is 74. Plenty warm in my book. But $400!?!?!? We paid $90 per person in Hawaii, so that seems way way way way high

$400 would be for a family of 5, 3 SNUBA, 2 snorkelling.

74 will feel cold. And it'll be colder the further down you go. You'd probably want the water to be closer to 80 degrees.

As a diver, 74 is coooooold to me, I'd be wearing a 7mil suit and a hoody. I'm cold underwater though. I've been diving in the upper keys in Jan. and wore a 5 mil. I've been diving in the living seas at Epcot and they keep that around 70 or so and I had to wear two wetsuits. A normal person should be fine in a regular long wetsuit though.
