snowskate?

I was looking for a snowboard for my DS(8), nothing fancy, just for going down hills in the neighborhood. The cheap plastic one I bought last year snapped in two. I came across whats called a snowskate.. Like a skateboard, with no wheels. And there is no bindings or footholders.

Does anyone have any recommondations on either kind?
