We've had the first 'real' snow for years here (I live right by the coast, so it's very unusual for us to have more than a light dusting).

Schools are closed and the snowman population is expanding rapidly ;).

I can walk to work, so I'm here, but it's so quiet I'm making the most of it and taking advantage of using the PC :hyper:

Well, there have to be some perks, don't there? :teeth:

Nothing here Hilary:(

The sun is out, although the sky looks abit grey

Hope it stays fine, im off for some retail therapy on saturday for the day, to get last minute bits for my holiday, and nothing stops me when it comes to shopping LOL!!!.

Hilary, we expect pictures posted of your attempt at building a snowman!;)

Nothing here.
We are forcasted Snow tonight,DD has gloves, hat, scarf, Coat to the ready!! she wants to make a HUGE snowman
Its freezing here, with gloves on I couldnt feel my fingers still LOL.

Someone at work today was saying Swansea was knee deep! I've got to go to Cardiff tomorrow - not sure if they've had any there.

Yes, but Welsh people have very short legs ;)

Deb - DD is in Cardiff and said they had some heavy snowfalls this afternoon and she'll ring later with an update, as she's hoping to travel home tomorrow for the weekend. I'll let you know what she says.

Come visit me in Canada and you can have/see all the snow and cold that you'll ever want!! ;)

LOL, Hilary! And thanks - I'd appreciate an update.

Deb - update from DD - it's stopped snowing in Cardiff now.

Hope your trip tomorrow goes well :)

I'm happy that you're enjoying the snow Hilary :)

We had a light dusting yesterday morning about 6.30 but it didn't stay around long. We've had some beautiful sunrises this week it really reminds me that Spring is well on it's way - our Daffodils have come up at the front of the house :sunny:

Have a safe journey tomorrow Deb :D

We've got a one inch covering here this morning. I doubt I'll be going to Cardiff today - it's not an essential journey. I was supposed to be going when we last had snow a few weeks back! Maybe it's not meant to be. :p

Just started snowing here and its really coming down!

Tha kittens aren't too sure at all!;)

I'm looking out of the study windows this morning to a really pretty view. The field that surrounds our gardens is even white - can't remember the last time that happened. It started to snow just before DD and I left for Guides, so we decided to walk the half a mile in the hope that it really snowed. By the time we got half way there, it was raining:( But, when we came out of Guides at 8.15, it had settled:Pinkbounc  :Pinkbounc  (sorry, really excited because we really don't get much).

I'm just really pleased that the radiators were put back on yesterday following our building works, or else we'd have been huddled around the fire - let's huddle around the fire anyway:teeth:

Mandy - our three cats are really not too sure about it. The old lady won't even go out in it, the old boy can't make it out and the young one is too stupid to think before running out full speed. His face was a picture when he hit a deepish bit down the bottom of the garden, he was back in twice the speed of light:earseek:

Cabmom . . . on my way:p

......... I was chatting with our relative in Florida last night and she said they have a cold front being forecast for today - the temperatures will be dropping from the 80ºs to the 70ºs Fahrenheit  .. it may mean they'll have to turn the A/C off ......... of course I was very sympathetic ;)

:umbrella:
