Snowboarding

Hey, does anyone out there snowboard? My boyfriend and I were looking to start this year. I know what size I need and have seen a few I like, but do any of you have any recommendations on good brands? What sort of boards do a lot of you ride?

Make sure you demo a board before you buy it though. You don't want to get stuck with one you're uncomfortable with.

I'd suggest skiing over snowboarding myself, but if you REALLY want to snowboard, I've heard good things about Burton boards, and don't get those step in bindings I've heard nothing but bad things about those.

^ahha step ins= yuck. They may be a little more convienent but they ride so differentely.

Well, I've skiied for many years and do love skiing, but boyfriend wants to try snowboarding and I do as well plus, no more clunky heavy boots to wear!

I think I am going to go with a seasonal rental and then buy at the end of the season or next year, that way I will know what I really want!
