Well dang....just had a thought...I will just tell y'all what our foody plans are and get some info from you girls!!!!
Okay...for our full MK day...I already told you!! CS can be whatever, TS is The Plaza or Tonys (we do Tonys every time.. it is good ,but I wanted something different for this day,...but if the Plaza is gonna disappoint I would rather do a good standby!)
2 Hollywood Studio days-Full day:CS lunch, 50s PT for dinner....
Half day: Brown Derby for lunch, CS dinner at MK if we go back for MESP & Wishes
Days at Epcot:CS lunches,TS dinners: Rose and Crown,Le Cellier, Garden Grill,Nine Dragons
Thur: if the weather is good, the evening will be a CS dinner and MVMCP!!:santa: Morning is slow-probably swimming, laundry and Beaches and Cream...can't do an ADR, but we love this little place!
Sat is going to be a shopping day...DTD!!!:yay: We will probably do Earl of Sandwich and we have an ADR at one of the aforementioned WS places....
Sunday is our day to leave..so we will pack up, deposit luggage and head to WS one last time...we will eat a TS lunch and then if we have time wander around...the ME will probably get us around 2 or 3.....
So...the Plaza/Tonys thing is the only big dilemma...should we stick to it and go there, or just hang with Tonys because we 'know' it?

Shawna, I would give the Plaza a try! We had a nice dinner there a few trips back. I think I gave a little review of it in my PTR not long ago. The kids really enjoyed it there. Plus - I always vote for trying something new! :thumbsup2

I didn't particularly like Tony's when we ate there last summer. Our server was fabulous, but the food was "eh". I'm thinking of giving the Plaza a try this trip, but we shall see.

Logan finally got his orders - woot! :cool1:
...but we still can't plan anything, because he has to square away all the transportation and everything.
I probably could go ahead and plan in for the first week in November, but I was leaning more towards going for the 2nd week. (Hanson is playing at F&W on the 8th & 9th)

Anyways...I'm actually glad that the reservations system will be down during the next 2 days, because hopefully we can figure out what we want to do between now and then AND nobody else will be able to snag the remaining rooms on various discounts.
It's a federal holiday today, so we can't find out the information we need.

They did finally release the military discounts yesterday. The room discount it about the same as the pin I have, so it would be beneficial if Logan absolutely won't agree to skip the Dining Plan. We'll probably do a room only though, because that way the cancellation policy is better.
I suppose if we go with the military discount, we could add Dining a few days before...

I need to go back in your PTR and look...I thought I remembered you eating there but need to reread. I wanted to do different...just not disappointed!!!:rotfl: I loathe wasting a TS on a less-than-stellar meal!!!

Speaking of food....I am cooking some home made Chicken noodle soup! I had the sinus junk over the weekend (again!)...ds11 had it all week, and ds14 has it now...but he was up most of the night with a tore-up stomach...sinus drainage I guess:sick: He looks AWFUL,poor kid!! They really don't like it when I make it, but I feel like we need it!!! I am also taking some Vit C...I have noticed I felt more energy today.....finally!

Sarah - good news on the knee! I hope your surgeon gets back to you! Too funny about how he created these expectations of a quick response!

Sarah- Hope you can get your surgery scheduled and over with! Good luck with the airfare game. :headache:

Thanks, ladies! My surgeon just got back to me (I sent him a clarification email - I wrote to him in girl-speak and the husband politely suggested that I do it in guy-speak and, wouldn't you know, instant reply!) and we've agreed that I can have surgery in November. That's one thing down.

The airfare game continues. Husband refuses to commit. I'm not sure I can do better than $244 at this point in time.

AND!

Oh, hey, how could I forget...

Elizabeth Nora was born at 1:53pm. She was 7 pounds 9 ounces and 20" long at birth. She and mom are doing well! I'm SO excited! I can't post on Facebook, as my brother and I have a lot of overlapping friends and it's his news, not mine. So I'm telling everyone else, everywhere else!

They went to the hospital at 3:30am, which was when they called my parents. My parents texted me at 4:30am and, well, given the date (as in "due date"), I ROCKETED out of bed to see what was going on. Then at 6am, my brother called me and from there, I spent the rest of the morning impatiently waiting, but I have the easy job! Heck, I'd already put more presents in the mail on Friday. :)

Sarah!! How exciting!!! I love to get that news!!! And I like her name!! We had a new baby at church awhile back, and her name was Nora Lane! (Lane was a family last name)....I thought it was sooo beautiful!! Congrats!!!

the ticket discount was there before, but now there's this:
"We previously had information on ticket prices listed. Disney has suspended the sale of these tickets for the time being. If this becomes available, we will update our information."

grrr...i guess we shall see if they re-release them. if not, we'll deal...

logan is hoping to get everything scheduled today.

Sarah - Congrats on the new niece!

While we were driving back from my parents' yesterday, we discussed going to Disney for Marathon weekend the January after Logan gets back from Korea. It will be so much fun to enter Gideon in one of the kids' races, then Logan would enter the Half Marathon probably. We might do the Family 5K too, but we shall see.
Maybe we can do 10 days again like we did for our honeymoon! I guess I should start stocking up on those Disney Gift Cards!

Sarah- Congrats on the new baby in your family!!!!

Shawna- Hopefully you're feeling good enough to tackle those ADR's! Take some pics of your garden- I love your gardens! Since my yard is so wooded I'm really limited with what I can plant- hostas and pachysandra with a few impatiens thrown in for color are about it.

OK, we've pretty much decided to go. I talked to Andy last night, and he said that Disney to us was like needing air~we HAVE to go. He's got it worse than I do. I talked to the MIL about it, and she would like to go but doesn't think Jan would work for her, but I priced May, and it would be $600 more for us, not to mention we'd have to upgrade to POR to have room for 5, which would increase the price even more. (She'd probably pay the difference, but...):scared1:

So I think we're going to surprise the kids for Christmas, so we can justify SOME of the cost. The trip will be from us, and then Santa will still bring some gifts. Plus my sister bought a house that will close end of Nov (I'm a p/t Realtor) so the commission will pay for the majority of it. We'll probably do Jan 22-29, POP preferred, free dining, upgrade to DDP, dine at Ohana, Crystal Palace breakfast (wanna see Main St USA empty!)...Hmmmmm, you'd think I put a little thought into this! :rolleyes1
:rotfl2::dance3::woohoo::rotfl:
Oooooh a Christmas surprise!!!!! Can't wait!

I did a quick drive-by read here yesterday and didn't get a chance to post so I'm sure I'll forget something.

The Plaza - we had lunch there in 2008 and really liked it. The sandwich I had (I forget what it was) was good. I think DH had a burger. The shakes were YUMMY! I would give a try - especially if you have been to Tony's a lot. Why not be adventurous? How bad can a burger/sandwich be? That's a rhetorical question!
I like your other choices for meals you listed. Have you eaten at 9 dragons before? It seems to get not-so-great reviews and I wonder. It's one we haven't tried, but I like Chinese.
What CS were you considering for DHS??

Sarah - good news on the surgery!! And congrats on the new neice!

Becca - Oh, the military life! It must be so frustrating. I hope you can still get a good deal for tickets!

Okay I'm THIS close to booking a room only for next November. It's only a deposit of $195.75. :confused3 I don't have Andrew's school calendar for next year yet but schools are always closed for 2 days the first week of November for conferences. I think I'm safe and it's room only so even if I have to switch the dates I don't lose any money.

DO IT!!!
Not that I'm an enabler or anything...

I want to go back next year SO bad, but Tony says no. :sad1: Maybe if I make enough in commission this coming year we can go back!!! That would be awesome!

Maybe I'm not meant to book yet- reservation systems are down.

Meghan- Can't wait to read all about it!

Reservation system will be down until Thursday morning. Of course, I got a call today from someone my DH works with about taking a trip NEXT MONTH! I guess it will have to wait until Thursday.

Good Morning Birdies! I have the day off, should be rather nice (for Oct.). Hope to get my sheets washed and hung on the line to dry....I love crawling in bed with that smell!

I'm also watching the coverage of the Miner's in Chile. I've basically been in tears the whole time. I watched them bring the first one up and was bawling, especially when that little boy started crying. All I can say is God is absolutely amazing.

I hope everyone has an amazing Wednesday.

CRUD!!!!!!!!!!!
I snoozed and I losed...flights from Stl-MCO just went up at least $40pp for the week I wanted to go!!! That's what I get for waiting, I guess!:sick::mad::sad1:

I knew the systems were down, but I still tried to price out some dates yesterday. Silly rabbit!
I was hoping to be able to compare airfare with availability, because both are a little persnickety at this point. Alas, it won't work.

DO IT!!!
Not that I'm an enabler or anything...

My thoughts exactly!:yay: Yes...we have been to Nine Dragons and me and Mike love it...the kids are kinda whatever....not their favorite., but I always looooove it!!! As far as CS places at DHS, we usually do the little place down from Beauty and the Beast-opposite side of the street..I can NEVER remember the name tho...in fact, you and I talked about it last year!!! We just get a burger...it's ok.Sometimes, we do Toy Story Pizza Planet if the kids are dying for pizza...
Ohhhh!! yay!! headed over there!
