Thanks Meghan! I do feel better today...my prescription really kicked in yesterday..but I was just sooo exhausted from all that coughing! Stared Delcym Wed night...it really helps! They also gave me the Cepacol cough lozenges totally disgusting taste,but man...they numb your mouth all the way down your throat....It kinda made my stomach queezy they are so strong..but it soothed my poor throat!
Ok...all you girls know that VB and sometimes Brighton is my $$$ limit for purses right? I am waaaayyyy to tight to buy a Coach or anything like it...and the Brighton I have I got on sale with $$ I got for birthday and then put it on lay-a-way...so.....guess what my hubby brings me back from NYC?..are you ready? A purchase from Saks Fifth Avenue......a GUCCI bag!!!!! I am gonna take a picture and post it later....but can you believe it!!! I couldn't! It's beautiful! What is so funny, is that he went in 3 times to get it!!! He couldn't decide and he kept leaving, then would think about it and go back in!!! My son said, yeah, the 3rd time he finally found the one he wanted!!! The sales girl was really sweet he said...she showed him what he described I like, and she showed him some, then they talked price..and he just didn't want to spend that kind of money and me not even like it! So, he said, I will just have to think about it and come back. She said, that's ok...take your time...it's a big purchase! So,... I guess by the 3rd time she knew he was freakin' out!! But he looked up and saw one he didn't see before and knew that was what I would want ...she said Oh yeah!! I didn't see that one earlier...she would LOVE it! So...of course I did!!! Then they had to go in the A. G. store!! Ha!! The only guys in there!! He got her the Jungle Capri outfit for Bitty Twins (2 of them)...she has saved her money from her birthday, Easter, allowance, and change, and we are ordering them today...she wants one blonde and one brown-haired....
ds10 is into Legos and r.c. cars/planes...Mike was going to buy him one and they were out of the helicopter he wanted (I think Mike likes it too!), so he is taking him to get one tomorrow..we have a little Hobby Shop here in town...so...we were excited for our souvies!!! they had a great time...ds14's favorite thing was Central Park...they rented bikes 2 different days and rode most of the day.....they had a blast!!! I knew the food was going to be waaayyy more than what we are use to paying...most places a coke was $4 and some didn't even give a refill! I would have been broke right there!!I usually get one or 2 refills--depending on how much ice they put in there...I think he did start to miss me towards the end!!!! (ds14) he just kept hugging me when he got home! Sweet boy! So...I will try to get his pics downloaded today so I can post a few! They did do the Morning show!!!

Shawna-What a sweet DH you have!!! Tony has NO idea what kind of purses I like. He knows that I constantly talk about VB, but he's still clueless. They must have had some great weather if they took bike rides around Central Park!

He said the weather was perfect..I think he wore a jacket most days...he is so cold natured...ds14 wore one a little also...one afternoon it rained and they went back to take a shower and go eat dinner....I think that was either the only rain, or the only time they got caught in it. Somedays were a little cloudy...but they loved it!!!

Awesome!!! Food is definately expensive in the City. I don't remember the exact cost (because I was 15 years old), but I remember getting a slice of pizza one day and being blown away by the price. However, NYC has THE best bagels I've ever had!!!

And yes, Mike is very sweet!! He really is one of the nicest guys I know! I have some reaaalll jerks in my family, so being funny and nice...without being funny at someone else's expense was a big thing for me when I was dating...Lord, did I date some creeps YUCK...but, I guess that makes you appreciate a nice man when he comes along! I told my mom between us we should write a book about our family..then of course, I would do a sequel on my dating experiences...we'ld be millionaires

Just wanted to pop in quickly and say HI!!! I have been so busy this week! The Ladies Bible Study group at my church is hosting the Beth Moore Satelite Conference at our church this weekend! We have been so busy planning and preparing! We are expecting over 200 women to come out to the broadcast tomorrow!!

Shawna - so happy that Mike and Mr. S had such a wonderful time in NYC!!! Sounds like they had a blast! I would LOVE to see some pics!!

Been missing you! You sound like you are having a great time! I love Beth Moore...we saw her in Tyler once...she's just as cute in person as she is on tv!! She is sooo sweet!! It was so big, we had to watch the satellite view in the overflow wing....but it was still soooo good!! I just saw her new book and can't wait to get it :"So Long Insecurity, You've Been A Bad Friend To Us".... I loooove that title!!!! Our local Christian bookstore sent me a coupon this week and I will probably take it for that book..... Yeah...I will work on pics today/tomorrow!

I'm baking cookies to take on my girls' weekend up in Duluth. Leaving this afternoon after the kids get home. Me and three girlfriends, shopping, eating, drinking and relaxing!! I can't wait!!! My DDs have been a little overscheduled this week and are showing it with whining and crankiness. Apparently it's contagious! We're all needing a break so it will be good. We've been so busy with their stuff and redoing the bathroom and some landscaping to prepare a spot for the hot tub, and trying to get stuff ready for a garage sale in two weeks. I'm just beat!

So I'll be off the computer until Sunday. But if I have some down time I may read some via my phone (eticket is a cool app!).

I can't believe he is big enough to sit up!!! Sweet little man!!! I know you are enjoying him so much! As for Mike knowing about Gucci...it was a surprise to me as well!!! didn't know he knew anything about it!

Sometimes these hubbies of ours surprise us. Mine is in the kitchen right now making home made pesto and pasta. I love him so!

Hey birdies! I'm back from my girls weekend! Had a great time! So much fun and relaxation. I posted a mini TR update on my PTR if you are interested.

Mindy - OH MY! What a doll! Love those baby toes! Isn't it great when the DH does nice things like cooking? My DH does a lot of cooking b/c he's home first most days. But nothing too exotic. I'm the only adventurous eater in this family.

sinus is better...now I have a most horrendous crick in my neck! I couldnt even get going in time for church today!!!And it was a wooooonderful service! Our youth pastor preached and the youth did the worship service also...hated that I missed it! I think the crick is from trying to sleep in a sitting position for so many nights....hopefully it'll be better tomorrow...been taking ibuprofen, doing Ben Gay, heating pad, hot showers....heat is suppose to help....I think it has eased up some from when I woke up-hopefully i won't get all stove up again in the night!!
