My jaw nearly hit the ground when I came onto the Dis today and saw the codes. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I can convince my DH, but I don't see it happening. You see, I need a new car and I could have gotten one this year, but we took a 2nd trip to Disney. So....Disney is out next year if I want a new car. Maybe I can wait one more year for a car???

Called in - asked for the deal - and upgrade my ressie - exactly as I wanted! So now my Pop Vacation has become my Animal Kingdom Lodge Safari !!Can you believe it? I can't. DD will be so surprised. now I am thinking I may wait until the day to tell her.I am still surprised I got it changed and agreed to it. I am saving money, and I am also staying at our resort of choice!!

I'd say wait for the car...lol. However this is coming from the girl who's car won't make it through winter, but I'm going to make it last. I'm holding out for my tax return, so that I can use that as a down payment and then hopefully have a trade-in....

It looks like Fall is upon us finally here. So on this cold dreary day in WI, I'm working on my plans for next summer to Hawaii and California. My sister and I have all our hotels, some of the days overlap so we're figuring our a general game plan for our days.

I also need to go shopping. Anyone know of any good jean sales? Ya see, since I'm determined not to go to Hawaii with rolls, my pants are literally just falling off me (rather interesting while at work). I don't want to spend a lot, because the hope is to keep losing, but at the moment I do need some that stay in place.

My car still runs just fine, but the a/c hasn't worked in a few years. Not that we need a/c very much in Buffalo, but I can't stand the heat! We did have a few really hot weeks this year and I was miserable. My car is a 2001 Focus that we bought in 2003. It has been a very good car for us, so I can't complain. I would choose Disney every time over a new car!

I'M SO EXCITED! WE got the deal too! POFQ - here I come!

As much as I enjoyed our trip this year, I am soooo excited to stay at POFQ! It was our first choice last time and due to lack of availability we HAD to upgrade! We did enjoy WL but I was a teensy bit disappointed that we couldn't stay POFQ! I was tempted for about 2 seconds this time to try AKL but told myself NO! We are staying at POFQ!

Here's another thread that I somehow lost track of. I remember when it started, and I probably posted here at one point. So I'm back. I guess I have some reading to do!! Hope all are well and you're all getting good deals on your next trip! They keep offering more deals - they must be hurting for visitors! I hope that doesn't turn into huge crowds. I figure free dining (when I'm going in Dec) only means more people will take that deal that were already staying on site. (I'm not sure that makes sense) We shall see!

Welcome back!! I went a couple of weeks ago and it was DEADDEADDEAD, but the restaurants were booked. Much quieter than January, even with (annual) free dining!

Yeah, I considered asking my DH (who would say HA HA NO) but, well, I won't really be up for the walking in January. If I spent the full 12 weeks on crutches, the last day of 12 weeks is January 4. And I did try my friend, but she said no ("We got through the parks in 3 days, what would we do in 7?" Slow down? Play mini-golf? Ride more rides? Sleep in? Alas)

I'll live vicarously, right next to you!

I am still debating on the 4/3 deal... DD wants to go...we were thinking of January but she also has a week off in March so thinking that might work... I just don't know what to do... I really should just stay home and do something else instead... we will see...

well ladies I am off to my first Body Cut class today.... have no idea what to expect... I friend of mine who also had the gastric bypass surgery has been going to this class and asked me if I wanted to go with her on a friends pass... so I am going to try it... I have done well with the weight loss but once I hit about 70 lbs off I got stuck and I have maintained my current weight for 4 months without losing... so I need to do something to kick start me again and get that scale going down... I have almost reached my goal of size but not weight... I really would like to lose another 30... we will see... so hopefully this will work... cause the walking and light weights aren't....

Hi Snowbirdies! Hope all is well! I'm recovering from a migraine that hit me out of the blue this morning. One minute I'm making breakfast and the next I'm having spotty vision I took some meds ASAP and now just have the leftovers of it. Better enough to be on here Gotta have priorities!

Well, I think we've definately decided to for-go the January trip. Things are pretty tight right now with no end in sight (until maybe August 2011 when Keaton starts Kindergarten) and unfortunately it's the "smart" thing to do. (I was looking for a "thumbs down" icon, but I guess there isn't one)! We have that cruise in July that our tax return will pay for, and I'm just really trying to focus on getting things paid off, yet every month it seems something extra comes up that has to go on the credit cards! It's so frustrating!! Those numbers are supposed to go DOWN not UP!!

So, please keep posting all of your trip plans and reports and I will live vicariously thru my Birdie Buddies until we can start planning our next trip! (Like we ever really AREN'T planning our next trip in our heads, even if there's no date planned, right?) Who knows, maybe next year will be better, we'll get things paid down and can do Free Dining in September???

Wow! 70 pounds! that's a fabulous accomplishment!! Way to go!!

My weight is a little higher than I like, but people keep asking me if I've lost weight. But going in to surgery, I don't really want my weight up. Blah blah blah...

...I think Tuesday nights are harder for me right now. DH has his game night so I'm home alone, and this is the second week in a row I've kind of had a freak out/meltdown with regards to the surgery. I've got this list that I carry with me that I can add to and cross off as I go along. Tonight, I sat down and cut pieces of fabric for some cross-stitch projects and wound some yarn for a scarf/knitting project.

On the plus side, in two weeks, I won't be worrying about it any more and I'll be on my way to recovery!!

Good morning ladies. I have a lot to catch up on. It's been crazy around here lately and I haven't had a chance to read the thread. Congrats to all those that got the 4/3 deal. I would love to be going in January. We are still hoping for a November 2010 trip, but until DH can get a job I'm not doing any planning. So far the kids have had a great school year!! This is the best one John has had by far, and Joey is loving band. He's not loving the practicing, but I was the same way at his age. I am loving this weather we are having!! The highest temp we are supposed to have for the next week is 87.
Well I'm going to go take a quick nap. The DH has been keeping me up until midnight or 1 am, and then I have to be up by 6 - 6:30 am to get the boys off to school. We've been playing a lot of this new MMO called Aion. I think the lack of sleep, plus losing my blood pressure meds yet again, has caused this migraine I'm having. I swear I think even if I super glued my meds to my hand I would still find a way to loose them.

Kim! I was thinking about you yesterday!! I agree this break in the weather is much appreciated!!!! I can't wait until the 80s are a distant memory!! I wonder when that'll be? I feel for you with that migraine!! You gotta start getting more sleep girl!! That's a big factor!!!!do you take Excedrine when you start to feel it or are you on prescribed stuff? I only take E...it works most of the time! Somedays i wake up and it's a full-blown migraine..so those days it doesnt help as much...but they are usually a little slower than that!!! Hope you feel better soon!!!

OK, ladies, I need advice from the world travelers among you. My d, as you may or may not recall, will be spending next semester (Jan-May) in Rome, and I want to go visit her. I've signed up for Trip Advisor's forums, but where would you suggest that I look to begin planning? Since she'll have lived there for a while and will be able to show me around a bit, I don't want to book a tour, but I don't even know where to start!

Any help appreciated! After all, I have to be able to plan something!
