~Snowbird Chat 2~

It's so exciting to hear about so many Snowbirds getting close for trips! I only have 267 more days to wait. :rolleyes1

I ordered the 4 Parks 1 World CD from Disney.com and it finally arrived today!!!! :goodvibes I really wanted to buy it while we were there in January but couldn't find it anywhere so I'm super excited to have it!

Funny story for all of you because I know you're the ones that would understand. :rotfl:
We drove past a cemetery this past weekend and Andrew asked Jason to drive through it so he could read the stories on the stones. Jason and I just looked at each other funny? We've never really addressed what a cemetery actually is so we were confused and asked him a few questions about to find out what he meant. He said " You know mom the funny stories like the ones at Haunted Mansion about the man that had a rock fall on his head." :lmao: Everything always leads back to Disney!

I watched the Christening of the Dream too - but I was in a courtroom and had to have the sound off. I still got all giddy and excited!!

Kim - the cemetery - that's too funny!!

Sarah - I bet you're REALLY excited - I expect a full report on the Dream!! I will have lots of questions, so take good notes! HA!

Joanne - would you get packing girl??? 2 DAYS!!

Sheree - it is so NOT like me... does it count that I have clothes picked out in a tote just not in the suitcase? So I know what to pack just have not physically done it
I did not realize how big the DREAM was until you actually saw it. I had it going in my office. :goodvibes:surfweb:

We leave for the airport at 3 AM Saturday! Friday I don't want to have to do anything but get the dogs to the resort and relax... however thinking about it I am going to miss my dogs, this is our first trip having to board them, last trip DH took care of them and in 2009 we did not have them. :guilty:

Any advice on how to deal with missing my puppers? :confused3 The resort owner said we can call and check in on them. I know they will have fun because where they are staying is truly a resort, for the price we could have afforded another passenger on our trip :sad2: Th rpice for 3 high maintenance pups! :upsidedow

One of the things my mother has done is that she found a little stuffed animal that looks exactly like our dog and now carries him on all trips. "Little Kodi" is in Vegas right now with her, she puts him on her nightstand. When in Disney the Mousekeeping usually does something cute with him. One day they tucked him in bed, the next he was holding new soap, then another time he was staring out the window with a note saying "welcome home". We thought it was adorable! We've never had a child with us in our room, so we think it's cute when they do something with him!

That is really sweet. Very touching story...

I had my first strange Disney dream. I was lying on the couch and felt a baby kick! :scared1: I then "remebered" that I was about 10 wks pregnant and had forgotten-hadn't made a Dr appt or anything yet! Then I went and told Andy, "Hey, I just remembered I was pregnant and I'm not going to be able to drink at Disney!" :lmao:

(Just realized that made me sound like a major lush)! :rolleyes1

Sarah! Is your cruise the maiden voya for the Dream? I know it's new and I thought it hadn't sailed yet.

No, not the maiden voyage, but one of the first 5 or 6 cruises!

Sarah - I bet you're REALLY excited - I expect a full report on the Dream!! I will have lots of questions, so take good notes! HA!

Yes ma'am! We're traveling with friends who have a 9 year old son, so I'll even have some stuff to report, with regards to kids!

Tomorrow, with the windchill, we're looking at -5. I'm looking longingly at the Dream and counting the days. ha!!

I have had some crazy dreams too this week, but none about Disney :confused3

I am sad to report I now belong to the Packing Procrastinators Club :sad2:

DH and I are very disturbed by our lack of packing and running around -

I am convincing myself it is because we're more calm and relaxed about this trip. I DID review my itinerary and not being on the Deluxe Plan certainly looks to provide us alot of free time! I have 2 Pick a Park or Relax days :confused3. we end up in Epcot for dinner both nights, so we'll see what happens. It will be strange to decide on our CS meals at lunch time ... " Hmmmm where did you want to eat today?" - that is so NOT our touring style, but I think I am liking it more any more.

I hope this is a good sign :upsidedow because I feeel out of sorts about it!

What did I accomplish for packing.
1. Checked the weather reports ( 3 websites report different things)
2. reviewed my closet
3. tried on some pants and shirts etc.
4. placed all the things I want to take all over the bed
5. weeded out the impractical things
6. placed the clothes I like into a tote for packing

So it's not like I haven't done anything, they just aren't in the suitcase all rolled up nicely - yet! :rolleyes1

Not a lush... you just appreciate the fine beverages WDW has to offer...

I have a list of the beverages I plan on enjoying! ;)

When are you leaving? I keep forgetting as there is no ticker?

Have you seen the Pix of Alcoholic Beverages thread? Yuummmmm....

We leave Saturday at 449pm and will get in MCO at 804pm. Not liking those flight times, but they're non-stop and super cheap, so I'll take what I can get! ;) What are the different weather sites saying? I've only checked weather.com and it says approx 70 during the days, 50's at night with scattered storms Tuesday (of course, that's our pool day).:confused3 I'm gonna go check out the others.

OK, I just re-checked weather sites. :sad2: Looks like low 40's in the evenings!! :cold: Think I may need to throw in another pr of pants or 2 and a few more l/s shirts or sweatshirts. Boooooooo....;)

I have seen that thread - that's where I made my list from

We leave Saturday at 630 am flight time arriving 930 am in MCO !
The accuweather.com changes through out the day. Rain on Thursday and Friday... I haven't checked today. I also use weathernetwork.com or .ca

I just got a phone call from DD's school - she is sick, headache and sore throat :scared1: DH is on the way to get her.... :sad1: terrible timing, she was just sick over the holidays.

Accuweather looks good, looks like the rain is pushed off and only chances of sunny showers. The los are pretty low... but remember this could be middle of the night lows, if you ever log on and see the temp at 8 pm at night it is sometimes warmer... I actually think I need to pack more T shirts...lol

I am a cold person, I chill very easily... so I packed warm clothes in hopes to only wear a light jacket if needed.

Last year at this time the weather was great... wore long pants and t shirt, but able to enjoy the pool each day!

Jenny and Joanne - I am keeping my fingers crossed that the weather warms up a bit for you! :flower3: But even if it is cool enough to wear a sweater you are still at Disney right? ;) :cool1: I guess being cold is definitely something that Shelly and I will NOT have to be worried about for our August trips!!! :)

One of my BFFs is heading down to WDW next saturday! She is a total newb when it comes to everything Disney so I have been helping her out a lot! They are staying at Fort Wilderness in one of the Cabins as they are a family of 6! They have been before but not for a few years and they never stayedon site before! They are sooo excited! :)

Sarah - yes PLEASE take lots of pics of the Dream that you will share with us cause we are considering a GG cruise for March 2013 with my whole fam damily! :goodvibes

Have a happy Day everyone!

Joanne and Jenny...y'all will have fun no matter what!! Even tho I do hate to get rained on at Disney too!!! I always, always use Accuweather...our weather here is changing day to day also. That's the only negative we had for Jan trips....we had to pack more clothes for unpredictable weather...but each of our Jan trips we only had one day with rain!! Joanne...get that kid some meds!!!!! She can't get sick!!!!!! Keep us posted!

Guess what...I got a pin today in the mail!!! I was so excited to see it, but I know a trip just isn't in our plans for this year. :sad1: It's for 35% off Values and Mods and 40% off Deluxes and Villas. It's good for dates through the end of the year....I want to go back so badly!

Have fun and safe trips, Jenny and Joanne!!

We watched footage of the Dream on GMA this morning. I think DH would be interested in trying it. Rylan, on the other hand, has been asking tons of questions about the Titanic after seeing bits of it on TV the other night. Not so sure he's up for a cruise just yet. LOL

DD slept this afternoon, the headache went away, and she said she felt better.

We got our packing done, other than last minute things. I still have room to spare... that means I have to shop and spend money to fill it up with souvenirs - right ?
I pre purchased photopass cd and added on some more travel medical insurance.

Thanks for all your well wishes, as you know my TR skills are lacking, so I will give you all a small summary when we get back :thumbsup2

Accuweather is looking good and I am packed for all sorts of weather !

And I'm going in July!
