Snow

that photo is GREAT!! ah... making my eyes well-up cos that's exactly how (i think) EVERYONE feels when the snow starts... i LOVE seeing the looks on people's faces... they all look like kids at christmas time.... loves it!

I know what you mean about the Welsh Coast and Snow (not) rain, rain and more rain. I'm still wondering what happened to the heat -wave we were supposed to have this week - while other places had what was forecast we had yet more rain !!:umbrella: :rolleyes:

My nan was Welsh, whenever my great-aunt came to stay with her they would natter on for hours in Welsh. I wish I had learnt it from her now that it's too late.:rolleyes:

I don't /can't speak Welsh but my DS goes to a Welsh school where only Welsh is spoken in the main. He started at 3 and is now of course fluent. I tried Welsh classes, but I'm afraid it was a lost cause. I'm pleased that we made the chose to send him to a Welsh school although homework can be a problem. Of course he can now do everything in both Welsh and English - initialy they are quite a way behind the children in english speaking schools but by 9 they have caught up and are bilingual ( hopefully with better spelling ability than his mother !)

I think that is a brilliant idea to send your DS to a Welsh school. Otherwise these languages would just get lost in time.
