We got a sudden snow flurry yesterday. It covered a very small "hill".

The snow came from dozens of bags of ice put through some sort of shredding machine. It was part of our town's "Lighting of the Doves" festival that marks the start of the Christmas Season. This is the second year that they've done the sledding hill. Fortunately this year, it was a cold weekend. I think the high yesterday was only 65.

Is that just another version of Stravinsky's "Firebird"? ;)

65 degrees, you poor things! Our downstairs heater went out Tuesday night and by the next morning it was warmer in the garage (66) than in the living room. The #$%^&* heater made me cancel my "24 hours of WDW" trip scheduled for 20 November. :(

That looks like fun. If the kids liked it you can come up here and do it every weekend!:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: It was 17 degrees here Friday morning. Yesterday I took my DD to Boston to visit a college. It snowed on the way through the Berskshires. It said it was more than a snow flurry but less than a snow shower. DD said it was a snow "flower". Our skiing resorts are open for business in the Catskills!

Man it was cold in Boston yesterday. WIth the wind chill it was in the teens!

I have Mark beat. It was 75 here this weekend. But it got down in the high 40's at night. Burrrrrr!!!!

We were supposed to get snow showers a few days ago, but nothing came from it. Pixi Dust is correct about it being cold in Boston. Hi temp today was in the mid 30's. Heat wave next week,,, High 40's are expected. One year about 15 years or so ago we had a Nor'Eastah hit the Greater Boston area. Got about 10".

Just about all the ski resorts in New England will be open this week, especially with all the cold weather. Once it hits 28ºF, the snow guns fire up.

Killington in Vermont has been open for a while already. As of today they have 28 trails and 5 lifts going. Even tiny little Nashoba Valley just outside Boston had 3 trails open today.

I will say Mark, that little sled hill is very cool. Looks like a lot of fun.

My kind of sledding! All the fun with no frozen face, feet and hands.
Its been quite cold here but no snow yet.
pixie dust 112- Do you mind my asking what school you visited in Boston? My DD is a freshman at BU this year. Fun stuff- huh?

see if you lived in ohio you wouldn't need any stinkin bags of ice cause we get that white stuff for free...today was warmer than yesterday...it's 29 now. last night in the teens

We went to Emmanuel. She liked the idea of it being in Boston, but being gated. Wasn't as impressive as we expected once we got there. She is keeping it on her list because she could probably get a nice scholarship, but it has fallen down on the list. She is now thinking of applying to BC and/or BU. Does your DD like BU?

Come to Oz. :)

Our Christmas last year was in the low 90's. I spent most of the day BBQ'ing and swimming. :P
