Snow Storm Photo

LOL Kyle :rotfl2: You forgot to use one of these. :drive:

This week I used some vacation time to finish up Christmas stuff, otherwise I would have been stuck in the same afternoon traffic headed for Boston. I was so happy to just be home! :artist:

So we ventured out for a little spin. Very pretty outside! :cold:

What is this "snow" you speak of?

I haven't seen snow up close in years...probably not since XMas of '04. We're heading to Colorado in about a week, so we'll see some soon. I like visiting snow, but I'm kind of glad that it doesn't visit me.

I know what you mean by this. I am in Tennessee. We get some each year but it is not pretty snow. it winds up kinda nasty...ice, snow, sleet....it is gone by the next day when the temps jump up to upper 40's lower 50's and SUNNY

. I like it the first 2 times but if we are lucky for a 3rd i am ready for it to go away!!!

How's everyone holding up today? :cold:

Well, lucky us. We are having Thanksgiving today. Since WDW failed miserably on our Thanksgiving dinner, we decided to do it today after my parents returned home for the holidays. Well, isn't this weather nice for that? I have the driveway cleared, but was hoping that the rain wouldn't ruin things for the kids to go OUTSIDE and play. So it will be a noisy day here. We will make due though and actually have that Thanksgiving dinner that I wanted to have 3 weeks ago or so.

We've got about another 7 inches on top of the 9 we got on Thursday. DW and her dad have been outside clearing the driveway's. For some reason our snowblower died (my FIL said that, I haven't had a chance to look at it yet) but Dfil was able to borrow a neighbors.

I'll go out shortly and take over the shoveling/clearing duty and try to take a look at our snowblower to see what the issue is. Dfil did the shopping last night so we don't have to go out at all today. Looking forward to 1pm for the Pats/Jets game!

I took a few pics of oldest DS playing in the snow. I'll try and post a few later.

The snow has reached the top of our patio side table so I'm guessing we have about 20 inches total here. Now ice, of course. DH went out before the changeover; our snowblower died too. Had to do it all by hand and it was heavy:scared1: He thinks it needs a new spark plug. I think it was just rebelling against another big storm. Our outdoor decorations are suffering - our inflatable Mickey is just lying down like he is sleeping:lmao:

We had an additional 5 inches of heavy, wet snow in Brighton. I just got the car all cleared out though so its not too bad. Its just rain now. I'm certainly not looking forward to it freezing now!

Love the snow pics!!!! And that Christmas tree is gorgeous! thanks for sharing them...

We "only" got about 8 inches on Saturday. Frankly I preferred the snow we got when we lived in TN - minimal!

I didn't venture outside - we are all sick - but I did get these shots from the back door at my Mickey and Minnie statues on the deck.

Thankfully, we have been downgraded to only 1 to 3 inches of snow. I wouldn't have minded another day off of work though.

Don't tell me that. We just dropped $600 on a new snowblower last night. DH jokingly told the salesperson one way for us to NOT get snow was for him to buy the thing. Never thought he might be right! :rolleyes1 (Will have to wait a while longer for my new camera. :headache: )

We're in the 6-12" range. GRRRRRRR

I got the snowblower working, but when I went to move it the other day the pull rope to start came undone. So now its just the electric start. hopefully my extension cords are long enough if the snowblower decides to shut off.

We're in the 8-14" range, this will likely cause snow day #4 for the kids and it's only mid January. :sad2: The last couple of years it's been mid-January before they even got their first snow day.

We have an ATV with a plow on it which works pretty nice (and plowing with the 4-wheeler uses very little gas which is a real plus considering the price of gas these days!!).

I bought a $500 snowblower a few years ago after that nasty blizzard we had. Until this year, I have only used it once... :confused3 I figure, I traded $500 for clear skies. Not a bad price to pay.

Believe it or not, the last snowblower we bought was the year we bought our house, ie spring of '89, store brand on clearance for 300 bucks at KMart! I'd say we got our money's worth. That thing had been Mickey Mouse'd so many times it's amazing it lasted this long...

Ah, a very sneaky way of making this a Disney thread! :lmao:

I'm ready for it. I would like to get a day off from work but there is no way that happens!
