We had such fun today playing out in the snow! We got about 6.5 inches - more than we've had in about ten years.

I don't feel comfortable showing pictures of my kids faces right now (don't want to read about them being made fun of on another board), but these capture the essence, I think.

*You can make fun of my dog, if you want to. ;)

Shiloh. He doesn't look too amused here, but he had a blast.

My little guy just had to try out the snow shoes and make sure every inch of him had touched the snow.

It looks like they had great fun!! We got 3-4 inches here!
I'm just ready for spring!!

And shame on anyone who would make fun of your children!! (Don't know what it's all about, but that's terrible!!)

You must be south of us. No one has made fun of my kids, but I've seen them make fun of others. I just really don't want to go there. :sad2:

I like looking at those pictures and like the last poster said shame on anyone who makes fun of children.

Another Kentuckian sharing their snow pictures!

Walter seemed to think the snow was fluffy enough to lie down and get comfy!

And the resulting 'snowballs' stuck to the fur on his feet.

Great snow pics! I wish I had some of my own but alas so far this year we have had mostly rain. I love the pic of Walter in the snow all comfy looking. Silly dog acted like it wasn't cold at all!

Nice snow pics and your dog is adorable! I'm sure your kids are too! I don't blame you for not posting pics of them, I don't post pics of my dd either.

Here on Long Island, we've hardly had any snow this year. Never had to get the sleds out or the snow boots and our kids haven't had any snow days off from school. We seem to be getting tons of heavy rain and lots of wind but no snow. Eh, there's always next winter.

Enjoy the snow!

He is silly! He stayed like that for a while, chewing on his tennis ball (the thing in front of his front foot) that was also covered with snow.

Btw, the local news is forcasting a chance for MORE snow! :scared1:

lol what a cutie! How much did you get? It looks like more than our 6.5 inches! I didn't hear anything about more snow. You must be north of us.

According to the news, it was a record (for March) of about 10-12 inches! (Depending on your exact location.) Granted, we are a little outside of the metro area but I would say that's about right. There is a chance of snow showers with minor accumulation tomorrow.

You're near my parents. They measured almost 10 and a half inches. They also had an accident as they were trying to head into Louisville for a doctor's appointment, so be careful if you get on the roads!

Oh, there have been a lot of fender-benders around here. My family was itching to get out last night, so we all went out to dinner. It was pretty slippery for both cars and feet, but the TGI Friday's green bean fries and cheese sticks made everything OK. ;)

I'm in Louisville. I measured 12 inches on the back deck and in the front yard. "Official" total at the airport was 10.4.

This was before the overnight snow; I can't even see Mickey in the flowerbed now!!

Yum! Nothing like good food on a cold day.

My parents drove about a quaeter mile all over the road and then slid off the road, hit a tree, and slid down a 20 foot hill and hit a fence. They couldn't be seen from the road! Thank goodness they didn't get hurt, although some people saw it happen, stopped and yelled down to check on them.

Wow! That's amazing.

For some reason I thought you lived in Georgetown.

That's the cutest picture of your daughter!

Wow, that's scary. Thank God they're OK. I don't think there have been any fatalities around here which is pretty amazing considering the size of the storm. They are still calling off weekend activities and even church services. We get mostly Ohio TV stations and southern Ohio/Indiana got slammed pretty hard too.

OH my gosh! So glad they're OK. That's really scary.

Thanks!! I haven't left the house since Thursday night and am going a little stir crazy. We're going out for dinner, though. Our driveway and street are clear and dry today.

I'm in Western Kentucky! But it is supposed to be in the 40's here today, so melt, baby, melt!! (Can you tell I'm not a winter person???) :thumbsup2
