Snow on Main Street

Our family is considering a WDW trip which would include our first ever MVMCP. A question regarding the snow on main street:

Sounds like it snows right before the parades?

Does it snow only on main street, or also on the circle / Tony's Town Square?

Where is the least crowded place to sit for the parade and still experience the snow? Don't want to have to stake out a spot hours in advance...

It snows from the buildings all up and down Main St so it sort of includes the Town Square area, since the buildings are close enough for it to fall there too.
We never stake out spots early. I like the area right outside the door of the Emporium, just as the floats are going backstage. I find the area large and no one bothers to go there. It's the last spot they get to but having seen the parade from both where it starts and where it ends, it makes no difference. The parade is the same in both spots.
