As I type this, I'm wearing shorts and a tank top because it's 82 degrees outside. I just finished planting some pansies in my flower bed, and I actually got a slight burn because it's so nice and sunny outside! There's a warm breeze blowing, the birds are singing, the bees are buzzing...

Sorry! I just couldn't resist! There's so few times I get to brag about living in Louisiana!

That's funny. I was thinking about making a similar post. My students were begging me to turn the air conditioner on in my classroom today.

OOOHHHHHHHHHH! That sounds sooooooo good right about now!!! We're expecting 6-8 more inches here on eastern Long Island! I'm tired of the snow, But will deal with it for the BEAUTIFUL beaches in the summer!!!! Couldn't give that up!

I am a maintenance supervisor on a major highway in New Jersey, and in charge of snow/ice controll. Had Snow last Sunday Night! Ice Last Night!! 6-8 Inches of Snow forcast for tomorrow night!!! And a major Nor-Easter forcast for Late This Weekend INTO Early Next Week!!!.......HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO PACK FOR OUR TRIP NEXT WEEK WITH ALL OF THIS %$@!%&I*^^#!!!!!!!!!! SNOW AND ICE

I feel your pain, but please make sure the roads are clear. A few weeks ago, I planned a quick getaway to Philadelphia over President's Week. Last week, I checked the weather... it was supposed to be in the 40's tomorrow and Saturday in Phillie, but not now.

But I'm guessing that you and your crew will have the roads clear for a smooth drive down (pretty please), and I'll just pull the car into the hotel parking lot (we're staying in the historic district). So we'll just walk everywhere and have an adventure!

As for next week's NorEaster, bring it on (at least here in the NYC area), as long as you can still get out to your flight!

Why does it always seem that things at work get so busy just before you're leaving on vacation? Is it so that we can really appreciate not being there?

Nah! That's kind of the thing we're not talking about while we're rubbing in our nice weather in February. If we DON'T have air conditioning in May, we'll all die! (My son likes to say, "What goes around comes around, Mommy!)
