For those of you in the North East I-95 corridor get ready for some white stuff, maybe lots of it!

Looking forward to the usual Washington, DC area snow freeak out. We are going to the grocery store tonight before the shelves become bare.

NOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!! :faint::faint::faint::faint:

We leave for Disney in exactly 19 hours and 42 minutes!!!

go away snow, go away snow.

LALALALALALALALA I can't hear you!! :rotfl2:

I don't mind snow. It's the wind chill I can't stand. It was a beautiful 51 degrees two days ago. Now it's 29 degrees with wind gusts of 18 MPH making the wind chill 20 degrees. :cold:

You had me nervous, I'm in NY and there is no snow in our forcast except a few snow showers maybe on Sunday.

Please just let it hold off until Saturday NIGHT!! I am taking my dd9 into NYC on Saturday and we should be home around 6pm, then it can snow all it wants!!

With the exception of teachers and students I have never understood the camp that roots for snow??? Power outages, trees falling, damage to homes, car accidents, heart attacks from shoveling, white knuckle driving, people literally freezing to death, scraping windows, slipping on ice, mad rushes to the store, not being able to cook, living by flashlight, roof collapses, plane delays and so on and so on.

I don't miss it a bit. Unless you want to ski what good is it.

Our weather (NJ) says snow saturday night into sunday. Maybe ccd will be cancelled!:cool1:

But I have plans saturday night! Let's hope it doesn't snow then!

I just love snow! Always have and probably always will. It is a weekend with no where to go so I want to get snowed in and enjoy the beauty of it.

I don't understand people that root for sun. All of the people that get heat strokes, skin cancer, sun burns????? :confused3;)

Our weather (Northern VA) states that snow will start Friday night, around midnight, and go into Sunday. No estimates at all on accumulation but I heard someone here say they heard 3-4 inches.

I am all about winter. Its my favorite season. This morning at 6am I was waiting for my bus to work in 25 degree weather. (wishing it was colder) I was in my element.

Christine & other DC-area folks

I just checked accuweather.com and Alexandria VA supposed to get a total of 8.2 inches starting with and inch or two late Friday night (around 1am). Winter Storm Watch in effect from late Friday through early Sunday morning. The Storm Watch says that the entire DC/Mid-Atlantic will get at least 5 inches.

agnes!

Okay I'm seeing DC, MD and VA mentioned here. Just what do you people consider the Northeast. If your lows don't go down to at least 0 you are not North :lmao:

I was just on a Virginia forum because someone posted they heard 12 inches through Accuweather. Another posted chimed in and said Accuweather notoriously hypes everything and they do worst-case scenerio. I think the odds are 55% for 3 inches and even more odds for less than that.

Who knows though.

As long as it's for the LOWER North East and not us folks up here in MA as I still have holiday shopping to do! :)

OK then, a mid-atlantic storm? lol

I dont' know where the storm is headed after us and I really dont' care as long as it stops here on the way. ;)

Oh and DD's hair appointment was changed from today to Saturday morning at 9am. So I guess I do have somewhere to go now.

I like driving in the snow too so its all good. *thumbs up smilie here*

I always think of the Northeast as NY/NJ and further North.

Looks like we're fairly safe from this storm here in RI. Good. I hope we don't get anymore snow until Christmas Day, because at the rate I'm going with shopping, I'm going to be doing it till the day before.

Looks like things are progressing for DC/MD/VA:

Capital Weather Gang just updated. The snow accumulation probabilities have jumped bigtime!

15%: Less than 1"
15%: 1-3"
20%: 3-6"
30%: 6-12" (most likely)
