for anyone who purchase snow globes at Disney beware you can not carry them on the plane with you anymore because of the liquid so either take the chance of breakage in your luggage or your best bet have them shipped home

Ship them home!!! This has always been our way of getting them home safe and sound. If it gets broken on the plane, do you think the airline would be willing to pay for it. I don't think so. If you have Disney ship it home and it gets broken, Disney will replace it. This happened to us on this past July's trip. A globe was broken and I called Disney. They had a new one shipped out to us the next day. We ship just about evertying home except for maybe T-Shirts. It's a lot less hasel, and when it arrives at home it's like being back at Disney all over again.

Did it with 4 beer steins last fall. Not only were they wrapped in the boxes from EPCOT, the boxes were further wrapped in tissue and packing peanuts by Disney. It was worth the $25 not to have to worry about the stuff on the plane.

I am so glad you posted this...I would have never considered a snowglobe a potentially deadly weapon on an airplane. I don't know how someone could use that liquid as a way to form a bomb or whatever, but I guess a rule is a rule!

That was for the 4 beer steins, 3 Mr. Potato Heads, Two planters, and a wind chime. I hardly brought anything on the plane, The 2 big boxes came later on that same week. I'll be doing the same thing come November, it just makes life easier. Totally worth the insurance not to have anything broken.

Oh, I see. That's not a bad price to not have to worry about it!! Now, how did you ship this? I think I've been asked at a specific store if I wanted my purchase shipped, but how do you do it if you want several purchases shipped together?

Bring purchases with the receipts down to Resort Gift Shop on the last morning. Disney merchandising ships it out Fed Ex Ground.

I think the charge was based on a percentage of the total value of the merchandise I shipped. It was about $400 worht of stuff all in all. I shipped out on a Sunday and it was delivered to the house that Friday. I'm planning on doing the same thing this year, Call me paranoid, but I just don't trust things in checked luggage.
