Snow Day

Anyone else have a snow day where they are from? We are in Cincinnati, Ohio and my daughter's pre-school was cancelled today. All the schools in the area are closed and the college that I am taking some classes at cancelled all classes for today!!!! I am so excited, we are going to go play in the snow some more!!!

Wow you must have a lot of snow for your college to be closed. I remember when I was a Freshman classes were cancelled for the first time in 20+ years because we had 21 inches of snow.

We got a little bit of snow, but since it's Spring Break the kids are home anyway. Unfortunately, I don't share your passion for snow. My older son wanted to go out and I was miserable the whole time.

I am in cincinnati also and unfortunately my daughter's school was cancelled 15 minutes before classes were to start. So many of the kids were already at school or on their way. This was a nasty quick storm but it just makes me think why a superintendent couldn't look at the radar and see it coming and make the snow day call sooner. We knew it was coming but he waited and then he had many teen drivers on the road and of course buses were already on their runs. I have to question the intelligence of the person running my school system.

BUT....have a great snow day!!!

From the Kentucky side of Cincinnati......

My younger girls did have school today, only a 1-hour delay.

Of course, I have to drive my girls, so I was the one out there cleaning off the car and shoveling
(DH is getting ready for work now, so HE can go pick them up)

DS is off all day, he is in high school and they close more easily as the school is at the top of a hill, and they don't want all those new teen-age drivers in danger!

Glad the OP is having fun, I'm not.

I am in Cincinnati also and my younger kids are home today too. My dh flew out of cvg this morning on business and will be back tonight. My oldest dd had to go to work and this was the first time she had ever driven in this much snow . she called after she got to work and said she never wanted to do that again!!LOL. My kids hate snow ,so they don't like going outside. so we are staying in watching movies.

Okay, so this must be a joke. I just decided to venture out. Since it was a snow day I assumed the roads were going to be horrible. I left my house at 1ish and the roads were spotless. We have about 2 inches in our yard. I am so confused as to why any school was cancelled! I think they just panicked when it was really coming down this morning. Worked well for me, I love snow!!!
